You would think it nearly impossible to make a flute case that a Yamaha YFL261 flute will not fit into. And you think wrong. Kaces has found a way to do just that.They put a lot of thought into the accessory pocket of this case. Unfortunately, they neglected to put such thought into the item most critically important to a flute case: the flute itself.The case will not close with the flute inside it. There must be no QC on these since they’re obviously not checking to see if it performs the function for which it is made. Very disappointed, especially since it’s not a cheap case.I am returning it and perhaps Kaces should start checking these reviews since I noticed others have had this same issue. It’s very simple Kaces: If a Yamaha flute doesn’t fit inside it, you haven’t got a functional flute case to sell.

It is crucial your flute fit snugly in the case. This case holds an Armstrong student C model flute very well. Great value, color is nice too.

Love the look & color. Plenty of room to carry extras in the 2 front pockets. However, my daughter's flute (Armstrong 104) does not sit in properly. Some areas are to snug & other areas are just the wrong shape.
