This is nice for sunsets or landscape with sky photos, but since it's a round filter and it's easy to spin. While it's on the Lens, you can you do have to be careful and try to lineup the horizon street? The quality is really well built, though. You have to also be really careful. When adjusting it, not to get any fingerprints on it

I'm so glad that Kase makes the graduated filter in this very large 112mm size. It is hard to find magnetized filters in this size that are any good so was glad to see that Kase makes them in 112mm size because they make good glass. I have Kase filters Wolverine filters on my other smaller lenses and they have been great! The magnetization is great, it holds on very well, including the caps. Don't really know how much landscape I will do with a long telephoto but this might be a good filter to have when we go on safari sometime in the next few years. The good thing about magnetic filters also is that they are easy to turn is you need to line up with a horizon. Lastly, the glass and coatings Kase uses makes it easy to clean up.

I recently switched over to mostly Kase and their magnetic system and the convenience really is just great. They're also very high quality, both the metal ring and the glass and seem to be worth the cost of entry. Installation is very easy, you just thread the magnetic ring onto the camera lens and then the filters magnetically attach to the ring. It's a simple setup that makes you wonder why other manufacturers aren't doing it. As for the performance, I compared it to my adjustable ND filter and it seems right on target. There's also no additional distortion or coloration, the images seem very clear and the filter does what it's supposed to do and nothing more. Outside of the somewhat high price, there isn't really anything else keeping me from recommending it and I do quite like the whole magnetic ecosystem.

Excellent filter for grading down bright skies, or whatever creative purpose you have. This filter is very well constructed and the magnetic screw-on adapter works really well. The glass is perfectly ground and the gradation seems to be as advertised at N8 at the darkest part. I recommend this highly.

Another nice filter from Kase, this is my first Graduated ND filter, it goes well with my other Kase filters for my wide angle lens. that magnetic ring makes them very convenient, switching them out depending on the situation. they also make a non-graduated set that I would recommend. I am planning on take a trip to Arkansas in a couple of weeks and this will we make shooting various scenes as little easier.

I always wanted a graduated neutral density (ND) filter to help balance those tricky high-contrast scenes. After a lot of research, I landed on the Kase Wolverine Revolution Magnetic Soft Grad ND8. When I finally got it in my hands, it felt solid. The tempered optical glass has a reassuring heft without being heavy, and the magnetic adapter system is incredibly intuitive. It came with a conventional screw thread adapter, making it compatible with my lens right away. The magnetic attachment truly is as seamless as advertised. Instead of fumbling with screw threads, I could snap the filter on and off in a second. In use, the ND8 3-stop soft grad did exactly what it should. I tested it during a golden hour shoot along a riverbank, and it beautifully controlled the bright sky while keeping the foreground properly exposed. The soft border was subtle yet effective, blending the light transition naturally without any harsh lines. The multi-coated glass did its job, too - no color cast, minimal reflections, and cleaning off water spots from the occasional mist spray was effortless. I even dropped it on a rocky trail (heart-stopping moment), but the shockproof glass held up without a scratch. However, there is one thing to note. While the magnetic system is a massive time-saver, the connection, while strong enough for most uses, doesn't feel completely secure when hiking with the filter attached. I found myself double-checking that it hadn’t shifted or detached, especially when moving through brush or setting my camera in a bag. But overall, the Kase Wolverine Revolution Magnetic Soft Grad ND8 is an impressive addition to my kit. It’s practical, durable, and delivers on image quality, which is what matters most. I highly recommend it to photographers looking to simplify their workflow without compromising on results.Bottom line:The Kase Wolverine Revolution Magnetic Soft Grad ND8 is a well-built, durable filter with an intuitive magnetic system that makes attachment quick and easy. It delivers natural light transitions, excellent image quality, and survives rough handling thanks to tempered multi-coated glass optical glass. However, the magnetic connection might feel less secure during hikes, requiring extra caution to prevent detachment. Despite that, it’s a fantastic addition to any photographer’s gear. Solid 5 stars in my book, highly recommended!Pros:1. The tempered optical glass is solid and durable.2. The magnetic adapter system is quick and easy to use.3. The ND8 3-stop soft grad controls bright skies effectively.4. The soft border blends light transitions naturally.5. Multi-coated glass prevents color cast and reduces reflections.6. Cleaning water spots is easy.7. The shockproof glass survived a drop without damage.8. The included screw thread adapter adds compatibility.Cons:1. The magnetic connection may not feel fully secure during hikes.2. The filter requires extra attention to avoid detachment in rough conditions.

Fits my 35mm perfectly and I love the simple magnetic attachment option. So simple rather than always screwing and unscrewing the filters. The filter does its job perfectly as well as protects the glass.

The 62mm graduated neutral density filter by Kase Wolverine / Desmond Photographic Plus is made in PRC (china). The filter is made from tempered optical quality glass. This filter is held on by magnets to an adapter ring that screws onto the camera lens. I use this filter to even out the lighting on sunsets, as the sky is too bright from the foreground. I prefer glass for my filters, and the Kase filter looks sharp at F4 to F8 on my camera. I do not notice any aberration or blur that is introduced by this filter. I always secure this filter when walking around, as I don't trust magnets with a $100 filter.4 stars
