I got this paddle as a spare for a recent kayak fishing trip on a very remote river. Never go on a multi-day kayak trip without a spare! This one is capable of breaking down into a very small package, as you can see from the box. This way, I was able to fit it snugly behind my kayak seat and secure it in a way I know it was going to stay put regardless of the rapids or rolling over. It assembles very easily and quickly, and you just need a screwdriver (a multi tool one works well - another thing you shouldn't go without on a trip like this).More importantly than stowing it, is how it functions. It' works just as good as my $200 paddle and it adjusts easily for your paddle style. Overall, I'm very happy with this and you can't beat it for the price!

I ordered this so I could have a packagle paddle that could be used as a backup in case we "lost" or broke a paddle on an outing. The price was very reasonable and a bonus was the length was adjustable via the two clamps on the paddle. The paddle has some heft to it but should function just fine for the kayaking we do. The included tether is appreciated as this paddle could sink if it takes on much water. I have some foam grips that I installed on my other paddles but they won't fit the larger diameter of the tube where you'd grip the paddle. I believe this section was made larger to be able to be length adjustable.I think the length adjustable feature is a plus as we have different size kayakers that may be gong with us and I can adjust it to fit their wingspan. I figure this paddle will be getting a workout this summer as it heats up.

This is a very nice paddle design which allows users to adjust the length. I never seem to have the right paddle length available to fit kids, teens and various size adults. This paddle easily adjusts to provide a comfortable fit for most any kayak enthusiast. The paddle is well made, has a nice blade and, due to the size adjustment capability, can easily be transported in any vehicle.Another review did not like the placement of the couplers that allow for size adjustment as it limited their hand position on the paddle. My family did not find that an issue when the paddle was adjusted to the sizes that fit our paddling style. The paddle works well on still or moving water with nice weight and size.Very convenient to have one paddle that adjusts to fit the needs of many sized kayakers.

I have owned five kayaks and I think twice as many paddles. The paddles got left behind on docks or misplaced after camping trips; either way, I seem to need a new one each year. This year being no different, I picked the Gzlozak kayak paddle for the replacement. Modestly priced at about thirty dollars, it was a good choice.Assembly is easy and the paddle come with a useful screwdriver (bless you) that you could keep and use later if you wanted to tighten or fully break the paddle down. Once assembled, the paddle has some heft due to it main tube being metal (called a hollow pipe in the inventory.) I think the paddle comes with a tether due to it not floating for long, compared to an all plastic one. The paddle adjusts with a simple lock system to several lengths that would accommodate different users. One thing that I keep in mind living in Arizona, you need to get that paddle out of the direct sun when you're taking a break. That applies to a lot of places in the summer. We have taken to flipping the boat and tossing the paddle underneath. We are just getting to the weather for kayaking and I am looking forward to using this new paddle.

I was looking for a kayak style paddle for my paddle board for the occasional times where I might be kneeling or sitting. I knew it would need to be something that could be broken down into parts so I could put it on the paddle board out of the way. Over all it's a pretty good design. But the expansion joints are very close to where my hands would grip the paddle. The images on Amazon show people with their hands almost touching the blades but, and maybe I'm different, my hands are nowhere near that close to the blade. The paddle's construction is pretty good. It's not the lightest paddle but not bad for the price. I did have one issue though. The clamp on one of the blades is slightly loose. They look like they are glued onto the shaft. At first I didn't think it would be an issue because I grip the shaft closer to the blade so it's unlikely to twist. However the more I think about it I can see where it could be a problem if it loosens up further. It would be like loosening the clamp to adjust to the proper length and then not clamping it before using it. The other one is nice and solid so I'll be exchanging it for a replacement. If it's just a one off mistake, no big deal. But if the replacement has the same issue I'll drop the rating down. I don't think it could easily be fixed because it can't be screwed without losing the ability to adjust the paddle's length and any glue would get scraped off when trying to slide the clamp in place.
