On my first trip out with this cool looking paddle it snapped in half. Needs a restrictor or something beefer in the middle. Will snap if outstretched to max

I didn't realize you could kayak and not get your boat full of water from your paddle dripping water in! Don't judge, but the first cheap kayak I bought four years ago came with a paddle, and although the boat only lasted half the season, I kept the paddle and used it with the new, much better kayak I bought the next season because that kayak didn't come with a paddle. No matter where I positioned the drip guards or how I paddled, I always had a boat full of water and I was always wet after a day of paddling. Then I got this UEGHNS paddle and finally got to try it out last week. It took more than a couple of minutes to assemble (maybe 10-12?), but once I took it out on the water, I noticed the difference. It's definitely heavier than my old paddle. I thought that might be a problem, but it seems to give me a bit more paddling power and my arms don't feel any extra fatigue like I thought they might. The biggest and best difference is that it doesn't drip inside the kayak and I stay dry!I have Yak Grips on my old paddle, but the padding around this UEGHNS paddle shaft seems to provide decent cushioning and grip, so I don't think I'll need the Yak Grips on this.My only complaint is that I feel like positioning of where my hands are comfortable is right up against where the adjusting connections and bolts are in the middle area, and sometimes my hands rub against them. It's uncomfortable or it forces me to move my hands out farther, which is not comfortable for me to paddle. I wish those connections could be closer to the center and not more lateral, right where I want to put my hands. I've thought about playing around with the length, but the length of the paddle is right where I like it, and the exact same length as my old paddle, and if I make it any shorter, it won't reach outside the body of the boat.Nice bonus that it came with a leash - I like that! I forgot to test if it floats or not, but with a leash, I guess I won't need to worry as much.

I recently acquired an inflatable kayak so that I could try out kayaking to see if it is an activity that I want to become more serious about. Unfortunately, the kayak did not come with a paddle so I ordered this budget-priced one to get started with. I was actually pretty surprised by the quality and sturdiness of the materials, especially for the low price. Assembly was pretty simple and it is nice that you can adjust the length of the paddle. Since the plastic paddle heads are attached to the paddle shaft with a screw and nut, it is not really convenient for disassembling or breaking it down to make it compact for traveling or storage but that is OK because I don't think I will ever really need to do that (but it is something for you to consider if you need to disassemble it frequently). In summary, I am pretty happy with this paddle considering the low price and I definitely recommend it for other budget-conscious buyers who are new to kayaking.

When you spend less than 30 bucks for a paddle your not getting anything technical..but it does get my boat from point A to B. It's very light that's a plus.

I have some very pricey and very nice AquaBound paddles that I use with my kayaks, but when I lend out a boat to a neighbor or friend, I am always nervous about giving them the nice paddles for fear they will use them improperly and break them. I decided something strong and adjustable would be ideal, and this UEGHNS paddle seemed to fit the bill.At less than one tenth the price of my other paddles I wasn’t expecting much at around twenty-five dollars, but I was pleasantly pleased with this paddle. The stainless-steel shaft is plenty strong, but I will say the paddle is quite heavy as a result at around 2.75-pounds, so if you use it for several hours your arms will certainly tire but if you’re looking for a workout, this will do the trick. The fiberglass reinforced polypropylene blades seem plenty durable and should be able to take a beating, like pushing off a rock or scraping a gravel riverbed. Where this paddle shines is in the adjustability. My nice paddles are fixed at 230cm (90.5-inches), but this paddle adjusts from 71-inches to 100-inches (180cm to 254cm), so it can work well with a variety of differently sized individuals or with boats that have wide or narrow hulls.Assembly was simple and it is quick and easy to adjust the length, and I like that you can offset the angle of each paddle blade if you wish. The notches in the blade for fishing line are a nice feature for folks that will use these for fishing. Because of how this paddle is adjustable, the shafts are quite a bit thicker to grasp than a standard paddle, but the foam padding is a nice touch. If I have any nitpicks, it is the following (but at this price, it’s nothing worth deducting a star for):- Because of how these adjust, if you have them set to a longer length, you’ll be grabbing the stainless-steel tubing and not the foam-covered black portion.- I wish there were tick marks or length markings on the shaft, similar to what are on telescoping trekking poles, so that you can always quickly and easily open the paddle to a specific length each time.- The drip rings cannot be moved further down the shaft, so when I use this with my wide SOT kayak, the drip rings become submerged with the blade, rendering the drip rings useless.I didn’t realize this came with the paddle leash shown in the images, so that was a nice addition. Despite my nitpicks, so far it seems to be a good value for what you get with this paddle. If anything doesn’t hold-up or if anything rusts, I will return to update this review.
