This lock is perfect for our rabbit hutch. I like that it has a combo so you don't need to keep track of a key. The hinge moves smoothly and the lock feels secure. It's easy to install and looks nice, too.

We use these style locks for our houses where we host Airbnb guests. It's not really for full security, just to keep people out of cabinets or closets where we have personal items (or items for the cleaners). I am not sure I would use this somewhere you needed to guarantee full security, but it's as good as any of these style locks we've used before. It works as intended and is easy to install and then use.

I wish I had read the review which revealed that the lock can be turned and opened without the combination being entered. Doesn't even take much force. Returning it and searching for better.

I list my house as an Airbnb part-time, and these locks have helped me secure a few drawers and cabinets to store things for cleaners. They're reasonably easy to install and set to a custom combination. The design seems well thought out. I received the first set through Amazon Vine and bought more to put on more cabinets!

Although this product is advertised to lock cabinets, I used it as a latch for my backyard door, whose original latch recently broke. The door is offset from the post by 90 degrees – thus the reason I felt this product could be a good solution for my problem. Not only did this product fix my backyard door, but it is much easier to use than my previous gate latch, while adding a bit of a security with the lock. Although it did not come with instructions, it is extremely easy to install, change the passcode, and operate (even with one hand).

I have a tuff shed that doesn't have a latch for a padlock so I searched Amazon for an easy lock to install to keep our items secure. The shed is in our fenced backyard so it doesn't need to be super secure but we'd like some peace of mind knowing someone couldn't easily get into it. It doesn't come with any instructions besides how to change the code (which is very easy by the way). However it's super easy to figure out how to install it. It took me less than 2 minutes. I love that the screws are hidden when it’s locked so someone can't just unscrew the lock off the door.UPDATE!!! I had it installed for several days before my boyfriend used it. He asked me to come show him how it works because he wasn’t able to get it locked. I went out there and locked it and showed him and WITH IT LOCKED, he was able to twist it and unlock it without the combo put in. There was a bit of resistance so maybe why I didn’t notice it but because he’s much stronger than me, he easily twisted it while it’s supposed to be locked. I took it apart and removed the back of the combo mechanism and can’t figure out why it’s not fully locking in place. Unfortunately I’m going to have to buy a different lock.

Well, not bad just not good in my opinion. The metal is not thin but not thick for the hasp, and the locking mechanism itself has quite a bit of play (movement) side to side when locked. Probably best for a visual deterrent although certainly they do lock, I'd think a strike of a hammer or good lever by screw driver shaft would pull off the locking part. I did't try either so take that opinion with a grain of salt... This locking hasp could have it's place for minimal security.
