Leave it to kohler to overcomplicate things and force you to use their products. This stupid tub requires a special drain ($250) so the money you may save on the tub you lose on the drain and the install. Requires a mud bed as well which is an added step that no one wants to deal with. (Not an huge deal) Overall it’s sturdy but the drain pisses me off.

had this tub professionally installed yet after maybe a year or so a small crack developed inside bottom surface about 10inches up from the drain. it has since grown to almost 2-3inches and is clearly leaking into the floor below. it also appears a new crack is starting to develop. pretty expensive tub to fail so quickly. going to reach out to kohler to see about a warranty repair. hopefully it can be fixed since replacing would mean removing our beautiful glass tile work.

Tub is great. We picked this tub because we were limited on space but wanted a soaking tub in our master bath. It’s deceptively deep. Just looking at it installed you don’t think it’s that deep or wide but it really is, I suspect because it sits so low. Also easy to get in and out of as well.

I wanted a longer and deeper tub, I'm a very tall man. This looks nice, clean and simple. Delivery was great. The bottom was damaged slightly in transit (the boards they screwed in to protect the front apron wall from breaking off had torn away). Most of the damage was invisible from the front. I installed it on a mortar base... I have had acrylic tubs in the past that deformed on the bottom and creaked and groaned, so I wanted it to be rock solid. NOTE: you need to purchase the drain and overflow assembly separately. https://amzn.to/2r2mRQ2 in chrome. There's a nickel one as well. I got mine from a home store near me because it was out of stock at amazon at the time. The drain protrudes quite a bit from the bottom (part of getting so much soaking depth without a huge wall to step over) so you need a fair sized hole in the subfloor, maybe 10" long by 3" wide. I found the drain slightly fiddly to set up and install but it works and the depth is worth it. (Edited to add pictures of slight shipping damage and what the bottom looks like, and how it looks in rough framing).

After measuring and reviewing many tubs in this size this was definitely the best value for your money , clean and simple.
