The Volca Modular features a Source module, which consists of a triangle VCO carrier and a modulator, generating complex overtones through FM modulation. These overtones are then sent through a wave folder circuit to add additional overtones, producing a distinctive sound that defines the character of the Volca Modular.The Functions section comprises two function generators, including an ADH generator with attack, hold, and release, and a Rise-Fall generator, also known as a slope generator.
