If you're in the market for a great Fiber Optic Identifier tool with 2 additional tools then this is a great option. I'll give the one disadvantage first vs some that are more expensive. This tool is a little bit larger but in addition to Fiber identifier this also has a Visual Fault Locator and even has a RJ45 wire identifier. This is a great tool at a low cost.

Fantastic tool so far. Opm readings agreed with a $1000 meter that I compared with several times. Red light is very bright/strong. We could see it over a mile apart no problem. Traffic readings have been reliable in terms of raw signal and direction. Tone is detected by Audible beeping. I went with the 9v battery version and bought two rechargeables. Directions are poor.

This is a must have if you are a fiber technician. Everything works very well. Don't bank on this or any identifier being right other the levels, you have to attenuate the fiber for it to read the level, that alone won't give you an accurate reading on the light level, that's what the power meter is for.
