This is a terrifying bit right out of the box. It's huge and intimidating, and it certainly isn't designed for lower HP routers. It will hog out a piece like it's nothing, but it will create a lot of vibration if you don't have a tight setup with a solid table. Still, this can definitely fulfill any flush trim or pattern job you need.

When I first saw this router bit I thought it was a beast, but that may be an understatement. As soon as I picked it up I knew it was heavy and large. It actually weighs 1 lb, which is a lot for a router bit. I read that you can use this with a hand-held router, but I’ve only used it in my table-mounted 3 1/4 HP router and I’d be very cautious if I ever decided to use it in a hand-held router. It even looks impressive when mounted on my router table. The 2 ball-bearing units seem of high quality and spin very well. The 14 carbide inserts are very sharp, and rotating the inserts is a lot easier than trying to sharpen a plain carbide bit. Remember to take into account the router speed when using this bit due to its size and weight. Even at the lowest speed on my router, this bit produced a very smooth edge. I wouldn’t be hesitant to use this bit on a door or 8/4 hardwood.

It does a great job and you can replace the blades as needed, I have a hard time justifying it's price tho, you can get virtually the same thing for half the price. It's built shockingly rugged tho! Well craftedI'm deducting 1 star over the price
