I got these to modify my leather belts as I am losing weight and I don't want to throw out my belts that are getting too large. Good leather belts are pretty darned expensive.Depending on the leather (and I don't know the differences in types of leather or why some punch easily and some are quite difficult), you may need to really crank down to get a clean hole punched. On a couple of my belts, I have had to reverse the belt and punch from the other side to finish the job. On the others, the punch is clean the first time, all the way through, so long as you use a LOT of squeeze pressure.It gets the job done.
