Had to replace the front gasket on my washing machine, got this one, got it installed and less than an hour. Do recommending the tool to get the spring off. Will make your job a lot easier.

Le trous pour le drain pré percé sur ce modèle. Facile d'installation rien à dire contre. Acheté une pince pour ressorts (20$) de laveuse pour l'installer en moins de 45 min.

Replacement was a lot easier than expected. I tried repairing the old one several times and had no idea that I had spent more time in repairs than just replacing. Not sure how well it held up since I replaced it while we were selling the house, but I remember wishing I had just replaced it long before I did.

I had water pouring out from under the washer and thought the tub to pump hose went, but it turns out there was a rip hidden in the folds of the gasket and there is no bottom on the washer. This gasket is just as substantial as the original one was and is a perfect fit. Make sure your model requires a drain port at the 6 o'clock location or you have the wrong part. I'm pretty sure the reviewer who said it didn't fit either ordered the wrong part or installed it wrong. We followed the directions from a YouTube video and it took just under an hour. The washer was more difficult to take apart than the brand new machine in the video mostly because my machine is probably 10 years old and the parts really didn't want to come apart.I didn't have the special spring stretcher tool so I used the tip about putting zip ties on the ends of the spring so that we could pull it apart and get the clamp ring situated properly. With the tool I would have been able to do it by myself, but without it I did need another set of hands. Definitely watch a video before attempting to do it.

This product is fine, but I was unable to install it without purchasing this:LG Electronics 383EER4004A LG Washing Machine Inner Tub Spring Removal ToolThat name is misleading, because I didn't need the tool to remove the spring, I needed the tool to get the spring back onto the new gasket. I tried very hard using other tools and methods, and was unable to do it without this tool. The tool costs $57 and I doubt I will ever be able to use it for any other purpose, so that is very annoying. I advise you all to be realistic and include this tool's price in your calculations on deciding whether to do this job yourself or hire someone.

I was a bit intimidated by some of the reviews about how difficult the installation would be. You definitely need some elbow grease to manage the reattachment of the springs but aside from that this was a very straightforward job.

I bought an off-brand gasket because it was a few bucks cheaper and it would get here in one day. I fought and cussed and looked at videos, but it never would fit. Then I ordered this one. Notice it is made by LG?That matters.A lot.It installed in minutes. As a matter of fact, it took longer to get the front of the washer screwed on than it took to get this gasket in place. Buy the original, it is worth every penny!A quick tip for the spring clips - use some 90 degree bent nose pliers to stretch the spring and other needle-nose pliers or a small flat screwdriver to hold the circle part of the wire in place. I had the spring on in minutes.

Item came promptly and fit perfectly. This was something I was putting off replacing based on the reviews and it appearing to be a difficult fix. As far as installation; I followed a on-line video and it was an easy task - step by step and clear directions. I debated buying the special spring tool and opted to not to - thinking I could find something in my toolbox that would help. What I came up with was using zip ties. I put a zip tie around each end of the spring and fastened it (the zip tie) so there was enough room to get my hand in the loop. I then was able to pull the spring wide enough apart so it would slip over the lip. It took an extra set of hands to push the spring into place while I was pulling - but it worked. Saved $60.00 by not buying one time use tool and the important thing - the wife is happy!!!

I installed this today - our LG washer is at least six years old and the gasket had not been replaced. It developed a small tear and I figured it was time. Like many others here, I used a YouTube video as a guide - it was very good, but it seemed my older model was slightly different in that the control panel was secured with five, not four screws on front (easy to see) and one in the back (not). The gasket secures to the drum housing with one spring clamp and the front panel with another. Each time you have to make sure the gasket is seated properly on the rim - for the drum housing I found that a bit of diluted soap on the gasket made it much easier to snap into place. The clamps are a pain, but I managed to get them on without the overpriced LG tool, using ViseGrips as suggested in the video, Even so it was frustrating as the gasket would tend to pull off the rim when I tried pulling on the clamp. I did get it in the end.I was mortified to see that the drain tube for the old gasket was completely clogged with gunk. I will take more care to keep that clean in the future.

I purchased this gasket for my LG Front Loader Model # WM2250CW. It fit perfect and stopped that little drip that everyone else was talking about on the bottom front. I also replaced the front panel door boot clamp. That also may have helped with the drip. I mainly replaced mine because of mold buildup from not drying the gasket after using the machine. I will say my machine is 6 years old and has no other issues. I did clean the front of the drum though when I had the entire front of the machine apart. One thing I would recommend is spending the money on the expansion tool. I thought my tool would work but it was to small, and I actually hit my hand when I slipped using the screwdriver method and cut the back of my hand open pretty bad.If I ever have to replace my gasket again I would use this product again and purchase the expansion tool.LG Part Numbers for LG WM2250CW Front Loader:Washer Clamp (inner): LG Electronics part number 4861ER2001DWasher Clamp (outer): LG Electronics part number 2W20017EDoor Boot Gasket with Drain Port: LG Electronics part number 4986ER0004FUpdate: Had to replace again a few years later because of mold again. I used the correct tools (ordered the pilers) and it was easy, still have to remove the entire front panel though.

It fits into our machine perfectly :) Arrived earlier than expected. If I could make one recommendation for anyone planning to install this, buy the spring expansion tool! The physical part was perfect and fit like a dream but installing it without that spring expander took vice grips, a piece of wood and then we ended up using a vice to pull the sring apart lolBuy the part but make sure you buy the spring expander if you don't have one already :)
