I personally ABSOLUTELY LOVE LG products... However, this particular one isn't the best... Some blu rays it will not play, and sometimes it freezes up, and after a while, the speakers begin to crack and sound blown, even without much volume... But otherwise, it's decent for the price...

Wish I could return this...(waited to long procrastinating)Speakers have to b turn on when the TV is turned on. When going from TV to DVD the whole unit turns off. Have to unplug it and plug back in to get it to work. Just awful.

Crisp, clear highs. Clean sound travel from speaker to speaker. The only con is the bass is a little on the weak side. However, overall, it is a nice system. We have it in one of our family rooms (20x15), and it fills the room nicely.

This unit replaced one that was damaged from a power surge. Installation and set up was as expected and all works well. NOTE: if you want to broadcast sound from a TV program, you will need an Optical cable. If you don't want to break the bank, this a great system to enjoy home entertainment.

It is getting harder to find combo Blue Ray players with Home Theaters. Only could find them online. Major stores only carry Sound Bars now, after researching several brands and checking prices this one seemed the best value. It was easy to set up and sounds just fine for our needs.

Have a large flat screen which requires speakers. Tried 2 different brand soundbars which were convenient but still had trouble making out the dialog. Tried this unit and I can finally understand what they are saying. Bonus is the 3D DVD player (my TV is 3D) and surround sound which lets you control the sound out of each of the speakers. Great sound for such an inexpensive unit.

Sound - passConnectivity - neutral (no wifi)Stability - fail (sw locks up, settings revert, constant network error in smartshare)Usability - neutral (nice interface but less usable than some others)Purchased this system to mate with an LG 55 inch dumb TV (55LB5900). Intent was to improve the sound (TV has poor sound capabilities). Success!!Initially thought that the smart function might free-up use of Roku on this TV for use on another. Unfortunately SmartShare is limited and not very stable. My primary uses of networked TV is Netflix and Plex. While Netflix plays well in SmartShare, Plex (dlna) has issues:1. Back or stop buttons from within a video causes a 'Network connection error' message and dumps you back to 'Home' or the Plex Server menu (user option).2. Inability to handle re-entry, into a partially viewed video, at the point of departure.3. Lack of video information including postersNone of these issue occurs with Roku.On more than one occassion the system has locked up and required a power disconnect to recover. My career has been spent on testing hardware and software, I would have failed this unit in its current release level. If you're going to add the function, ensure it is stable. After 1 year of ownership, reduced rating from 3 to 2 stars. Despite consistent issues with their DLNA capabilities, there has been NO software update this entire year. Service is.... poor.

I purchased this unit a few months ago and to be honest, I am very disappointed with it. First of all it is falsely advertised on Amazon as having both wi-fi and Bluetooth capability - it has NEITHER. It can only connect to the internet via a LAN cable and you would have to purchase a separate adapter ($50 average price) and connect it to the unit's AUX input jacks if you want it to have Bluetooth capabilities. The unit is very slow when buffering from the internet and play often pauses to buffer during movies. I have very fast internet and I don't have any issues with any of the other Blu-Ray players in my home. This unit also often locks up and the only way to get it to work is by unplugging it from the AC outlet, waiting about 15 seconds, and then plug it back in. Another issue that may seem minor but is actually very annoying is that you have to aim the remote control perfectly at the unit in order for it to work. I would not recommend purchasing this product. I purchased it because I was purchasing an LG TV at the same time and I wanted seamless connectivity, which did not happen.
