Steps of the valve cover gaskets replacement

  • Step 1: Try to tighten the gasket
  • Step 2: Allow the engine to cool and gain access to the gasket
  • Step 3: Lift off the valve cover
  • Step 4: Remove the old valve cover gasket and fit the new one
  • Step 5: Apply silicone if the manufacturer tells you do so
  • Step 6: Re-install the valve cover
