Over the last decade or so I've been paying about $70 yearly to replace the UV lamp in our MiniPure water purifier. Ours is a Min-6. Since Home Depot no longer carries the MiniPure system or replacement lamps, it was time to do research.I was delighted to find a replacement lamp here on Amazon from LSE Lighting at half the price. It was ordered and because of our Prime membership, it arrived almost immediately at no charge for shipping.. It was well-packed in a stiff mailing tube.I installed it in the MiniPure tank, plugged it in and it immediately blew out. That was surprising as that had never happened before. So, back it went to Amazon and LSE Lighting sent a note that they would replace it.The new unit arrived shortly thereafter. To my disgust, it also blew out. You could see a cloud inside the tube at both ends that wasn't there when it arrived.I sent a note to LSE Lighting and they quikly responded with a rather insulting statement that I had installed both lamps incorrectly. I've been replacing the UV lamp every year for 14 years, ordered from Atlantic UltraViolet, the manufacturer. Never had a problem.So much for LSE Lighting. I guess you get what you pay for.Incidentally, last year's lamp was put back into the MiniPure and is working perfectly.I hope your experience with LSE Lighting, should you have one, is better than mine.
