We where looking for a solution for our cramped studio workspace which allowed us to clearly see and use the controls of the JD-XI while seated at our studio desk. Placing the JD-XI at 50 degree angle turned out to be the best solution that provided easy access to all the knobs, dials and controls. Since we typically use the JD-XI as a sound module, this setup was ideal to optimize our workflow. We also wanted to ensure that the synth would stay put while we twist and tweak the knobs so we could use it for live applications as well. It took a lot of trial and error but we where able to come up with stands that met all our criteria and held up well during many long hours of rigorous studio use. These stands where designed to use the cutout sections on the rear of the synth as an anchor point. Thick lugs on the stands index into these cutout sections which prevents the stands from moving side to side or up and down. This is by far the best solution we could come up with to secure the synth in place and prevent it from sliding around. Includes 4 small round self adhesive silicone type round pads to help keep the stands from sliding around. For those of you who are heavy-handed when you play your synths, you can apply some velcro to the flat surface on the bottom of the stands where it sits on your studio desk. Velcro is Not included. To install the stands, simply attach them to the rear of your JD-XI making sure to index the lugs on the stands into the appropriate cut out sections on the synth. We provided images showing the rear of the JD-XI with stands attached which you can use as a reference. Note that due to the nature of 3D printing and filaments, there may be a slight variation in color from that shown in the image. Also note that due to the nature of the 3D printing process, there will be some layer lines or other manufacturing details present in the finish.
