These work as advertised. When they came across my feed I had to have them because there are tools like this in my grandmothers sewing box and I never knew what they were for. Now I know! And now I have new ones only these are a smaller version compared to my grandma's.One thing to note is if you are going to use them do a test first with the leather or string you are going to use. I found that the grip of this "needle" is very strong and it can "bite" right through a piece of very thin or very soft leather. This only happened to me a couple of times and it is really a function of the material. One may be able to loosen the bite of the needle on the material. That is what I did in some cases.Apparently there are larger versions of this needle out there (longer and larger diameter) but I didn't search for it except for in my grandma's sewing box. This size is probably good for most purposes.Recommended.

Strong and sturdy. Quality material well worth the money. Others purchased did not hold leather.

I picked these up for my husband who’s been getting more into leatherwork, especially projects that involve hand stitching. He’s been using some makeshift tools, so I thought these would be a nice upgrade—and he was genuinely excited to try them out!The stainless steel feels solid, and the prong tips look like they'll make threading a lot easier, especially with thicker leather pieces. I haven’t seen the final product yet, but fingers crossed it’ll be that corset he’s been talking about making for me.Great little find for anyone into leathercraft or DIY projects!

These needles will really help as I decorate artworks with thicker cording, twine, or other materials. They're meant to hold leather, but they will work on a variety of fibers, including folded cloth for a unique look. I like the metal they're made of, it seems durable, and the size is really perfect for what I wanted.

I am so pleasantly surprised with these! You get two of these in a nice plastic storage box. They are being sold as Sewing Leather Needles, which I am sure they will work perfect for. The teeth grip very tightly and they will be able to hold onto any leather tightly while you work.I also tried some button carpet thread through the eye and it works great. But I ordered them hoping they would be useful as sewing bodkins for elastic and ribbon.A bodkin is used to grip elastic, ribbons, in order to thread them through casings, lace etc... I have pictured a regular sewing bodkin next to these little gems. It is bigger with a bulky slide ring. How many times have I reverted to feeding elastic and ribbon with a tiny safety pin because the regular size bodkin was too bulky. These are going to be perfect to use! These are sleek, very smooth metal, smaller than a regular bodkin, grip very tightly when you push the smooth ring up towards the teeth, and will be easy to work with. The ring was a bit hard to move initially, but I used a padded pliers to gently push the ring down. Just perfect then. Slides great and stays put when in use. Will not slide off either end so you won't lose it. The pointy end is nicely rounded just a tiny bit, which will allow easy passage thru casings and lace without puncture holes. These will be extremely useful for when sewing doll clothing and projects that have small casings. They are exactly the right size for 1/8 inch elastic. They slip through lace very easily and are able to carry a 1/8 inch ribbon with ease. The teeth are very sharp and so you have to allow a bit of ribbon to be cut off after using the gripper end. Silk ribbon feeds through the thread end of very easily. These are also going to be perfect when you need to thread that pull cord back through your hoody or coat!Do not hesitate to buy these and add them to your sewing arsenal. I wish I would of had these years ago!

MateIJS 2pcs Stainless Steel Shoe Lace Needles, Leather Sewing Needles with Prong Steel Tips for Leathercraft & Manual Lacing Threading (2 Pieces)First impressions: Nice sturdy steel needles to pull leather laces through holes in your project. The jaws open pretty wide and grab the lace well.Installation/setup: Slide the lock down the shaft to open the jaws. Place your lace in the jaws and slide the lock back up to keep the lace in place.Final thoughts: This works great, I wish I had had one of these back when I was selling my leatherwork in open air markets. The items I was making for sale used a pattern of holes and colored laces. They took forever to make, trying to push lace through several holes made my fingers sore and I used needle nose pliers to help. These lace needles work really well and I like them.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.
