Opens and flows exactly at the temperature advertised. Dont go cheap on your thermostat. Mishimoto is the bee's knees. This is the 5th or 6th product from them I have used. Their radiators are phenomenal in quality, looks and performance, as are the transmission oil coolers. These are what the manufacturer should have installed from the start. Keep your motor alive forever! ( or till you sell it and miss it, lol!)

Gran desempeño de este termostato, importante comprarlo con la junta para no perder tiempo. El motor de mi Jeep Tj se mantiene 10 grados abajo de lo normal en las peores condiciones de tráfico. Mishimoto rules. Súper recomendable.

Jeep runs much cooler because the thermostat won’t close. My Jeep started throwing a P1281 code engine cold too long. I knew my old thermostat was stuck open but I didn’t expect the new one to be bad out of the box. Contacted customer support replacement is on the way. Let’s see how the new one does

Just installed on my wife’s 2006 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon that had been overflowing from the overflow tank when in stop and go traffic in 90 degree plus heat. Made a huge mess of the engine bay as the fluid got sprayed all over. The new thermostat replaced the original factory part and is 10 degrees cooler under worst traffic conditions and 15 degrees cooler when driving around town. The dash temperature needle is actually visibly lower and we are most pleased. Definitely get a new gasket and an plastic scraper tool as my old gadget was literally fused to the engine block. Would have been a 45 min job if I didn’t have to spend 2 hours getting the old gasket off. We used the Mopar fluid too.
