My hood release cable was jammed and snapped the original piece of this, while it's a slightly different design and probably not intended for my car this worked great as a replacement.The quality was on part with the OEM one, it doesn't stand out compared to on the original and fits fine. Replacing it was just two screws making it easy to install and it matched the color of the original plastic trim.
