I purchased one and the altitude was way off. I got a replacement thinking it was just that one. I would be at 3500ft and it would read 300 as an example

So far it will not access any OBD data at all, gps speed is out by about 10%Update: seller reached out after the review. Let me know the tool is incompatible with the OBD version of my 1998 ranger , it works with 2008 and up. They informed me that the gps speed is in fact adjustable so it can be dialed in. This will suffice, as I’m using that to compensate for larger tires on my truck.

I understand when certain devices have barebones UI but a head up display should not be one of them. Should be much easier to use. Otherwise, it's fine. Pretty accurate if not precisely so. It's just that everything is such a pain to navigate through. It's not as if this is a super inexpensive device. It's fairly priced but should have a better user interface, in my opinion, at this price point.

The biggest frustration with this gauge is that it only has a single button for its interface, so everything is done through short, long, and double or triple presses. It's tedious to do anything except switch screens. The other gauge I tried from the same vendor has a jog wheel on top that's much easier to deal with. That one had serious accuracy issues and wouldn't stick - those issues seem to have been fixed in this model. The odometer seems to read correctly and I had no trouble sticking it securely to my dash.As for reliability, sometimes it just doesn't connect over OBD and you have to unplug it and try again. Your only indication that it didn't work is that the OBD screens just aren't available.I've also had trouble with the GPS signal dropping out, despite a clear view of the sky and open terrain. It couldn't have a better signal without being outside of the vehicle.I was also really hoping it'd have something to indicate the grade or the rate of elevation change. Certainly it has the data to calculate that. The best it can do is the angle display and the elevation. My old truck has trouble with overheating on long uphill stretches and the main reason I got this is to be able to keep an eye on the coolant temperature and the grade.
