Some work some don’t, most the function buttons or dials will not work on my D500. On,y the shutter real ease button actually functioned

The grip caused my D500 to lock up, repeatedly. The only way to get the camera working was to remove the grip, then remove and replace the battery from the D500.

It feels a little cheaply made on the camera but it is an inexpensive grip after all works as advertised. Very happy with the grip.

The grip works exactly as advertised. If you have a D500 and don't have a grip, it's your loss. I wish I had this years ago since it makes taking portrait photos much easier. The extra battery for the D500 a great addition. I have a couple of large lenses that use lots of battery power. Having the extra battery is a plus.The camera is well balanced and I haven't had a problem with the unit. It even has a place to store the rubber cover for the extension slot.

Bought this grip for my new D500 at a substantial discount from an original MB-D17. I have a Green Extreme grip for my D7200 and figured I'd go with that brand again for my D500. The grip fits well with the D500 and appears to be rugged and well built. I have only discovered one issue with this grip. The sub-selector button on the grip does not work properly when it is assigned in camera to choose the area-focus mode when pressed. It can be used to choose the focus point left-right and up-down, but it doesn't switch area-focus mode when pressed. I have assigned it another function in the camera and it seems to work fine for the other functions. Not planning to send it back since I've heard it is a common problem with third part grips.

Did not work with my camera. Caused the camera to turn on and off during use. front and back control wheels would not change settings. The only button that worked was the shutter. Got refund.
