Had to weld gussets to it and make multiple passes on the verticals to fill in where the iron is bent into shape, but otherwise performed as expected.

Iām building a dump trailer and really like that I can adjust the hitch, as I have multiple trucks that can pull it. I also like that I can remove the hitch which will deter theft.

With its channel holes large enough for 5/8in pins and spaced at 2in, plus 3in inner dimension of channel, its a perfect match to Curt adjustable channel hitch components, and perhaps other brands as well. This product has same channel dimensions as Curt 45901 Adjustable Trailer Hitch Ball Mount except adjustment increments are 2in instead of 1in. The advantage is this does not have the 2in receiver shank welded to it so it can be mounted on a flat surface by welding or bolting as I did to my 717A lawn tractor, which has heavy duty bumper on the back. The Curt channel hitch pins even fit perfectly as shown in photo. I use the ball mount without a ball to tow my lawn cart and by just pulling the pins replace with Curt 45912 dual ball for pulling lightweight trailer (with ball coupler) around the yard. The dual ball mounts only in center position to avoid the mounting bolt heads and washer. Unlike some competitive products, this one comes already painted, has channel holes suitable for 5/8in pins, and with holes in the back that are suitable for mounting with 1/2in bolts. Took about 10 min to install by unibit drilling holes in the lawn tractor bumper bolting on. It replaces the 2in receiver previously mounted that extended the ball mount about 19in behind tractor. This one extends out only about 5in and once pins are pulled only about 2in for just the channel, so it's a much more compact solution for the same benefit. This is a super product for this application. Just need a sturdy flat surface suitable for mounting it to the towing vehicle. Of course, when bolted on this way, it's tow rating is greatly reduced but it's all I need for what my lawn tractor can pull. By the way, Curtmfg customer support told me that their channel coupler mount (unpainted) is not compatible with Curt channel mount hitch products but this 3rd party painted product is perfectly compatible with Curt 3in channel mount hitch components. There was a minor rough spot on the right edge of the channel as seen in the photo that had to be filed down a little to avoid incidental cuts on my hands but that was easy enough to do.
