In the US this IS NOT legal for night flight as an anti collision light. Anti collision strobes must be RED or WHITE to be legal.I’m a Part 107 and manned pilot.

wow these are bright, only downside, they go dim when the battery runs out, it would be nice if they shut off at a certain lumens and forced a recharge

So these are very small and come with these heavy duty rubber band type devices to strap the lights on... You can also use zip ties if you want. Out use 3m command strips. But these lights charge well and are very very bright when viewed in action, especially at night. Can also be used in your car if you breakdown (use these as warning flashers to let people know where you are). Take them on a night time hike for safety. Anywhere you need to get peoples attention, these can be used. These lights are very versatile and I would encourage people to think outside the box and use these for other things not related to operating a drone

There are a ton of light options out there for AUS night flights. However, most of them are not compliant with the FAA’s guidelines of compliance of visibility (3 nm). This light has multiple flash modes, battery level indicator, seems to hold a charge very well and runs on strobe mode for around 4 hours on a single charge.Additional mounting tape (hook and loop) is supplied in the box as well as instructions.This light is very light weight and low profile. It does not impact drone operations at all
