I mostly love this device, but what I really don't like about it is the side with the magnet isn't flat. The extrusion they are using for the housing has bumps in the corners and the whole thing teeter's one way or the other unless the surface that you're putting it on is large enough to accommodate the entire width of the device. So for example if you're trying to stick this to a pinion on an automobile to get an angle reading it's not possible because you don't have enough surface to make it happen. So what I did is sand one side of the thing flat on my belt sander. Yes really. Now it works perfectly.

The key selling point over other makes is it does degrees and percent rise.The photo shows that it is accurate enough, being out only 0.09 degrees which is a combo of the decides and the error in being off 90 in the square I used as a reference to measure.Simple to use from woodworking to set blade angles, running drain lines and gutters (rise/fall) and measuring the slope of your model railroad track in %.

Angle is spot on, when you have an uneven surface, it's something you must have to have accurate cuts.

Acheté initialement pour dégrossir les réglages d'installation machines numériques (pro) je termine ensuite avec un niveau au 4/100mm par mètre.Il suffit finalement très largement au réglage des machines basiques.Il est très pratique, magnétique, compact, et surtout rapide à lire. La précision annoncée est la bonne. (Proche de 1/10mm par mètre, répétabilité très correcte pour le prix)à connaître avant d'acheter:Pour régler un angle de lame par exemple, il est parfait, on calibre le zéro sur la table préalablement. (Réglage par comparaison)En revanche, en utilisation niveau pur (mise à niveau de la table de la scie par ex.) Il faudra tâtonner un peu avec un zéro pas encore calibré.Une fois la table machine réglée, s'en servir de référence pour chaque calibration.(Il faudra re-calibrer pour dépasser 90 degrés.)Dommage que la veille auto soit d'environ 1 min et non désactivable.Vraiment satisfait de mon achat

I don't have a good way to determine the absolute accuracy of this device at every angle but in the limited cases where I could make a reasonable assumption about it, the accuracy seemed good. It's very touchy because of the 0.02 degree resolution. Also it easily goes into an error condition if you tilt it the wrong way (in the wrong plane). But if you are careful while handling the tool, it seems to work quite well. The magnets seem adequately strong to attach it to steel objects.

I picked this product because of the high number of reviews. I am pleased with the selection. It works well, it is very fast and gives angles, with vertical reference, regardles of the positioning of the product. It has a very tight tolerance to horizontal misalignment, so be aware that if the angle you want to measure is in an inclined surface so the face of the product is not very vertical with respect to "gravity" :) for those angles, I suggest you get yourself a protractor.The magnet is quite useful. I used it on the edge of a 1/16” thick steel ruler, upside-down, and it held in place measuring the angle it was set at.I have recommended this product to a few colleagues. It is a good investment for your work or DIY projects.

Works great, only drawback is making sure it is vertical when checking angles. On a saw blade if it’s not perpendicular to the base the angle is not very accurate and only way to tell is by eye (unless I’m missing something). I was however, able to get my mitre saw cutting better than ever.

Sturdy, aluminum housing and a clear, vivid display. In terms of accuracy, this unit is spot on. The Hold function and the rotating numbers in the upside-down world works a treat. The only minus would be that is is a relatively slow readout of the angles, but this is more than Ok considering the price and precision. It is highly recommended!!

✔ First of all the unit we received was calibrated at the factory and is pretty accurate for our uses. The manual shows how to manually calibrate it BUT if you do it will replace the factory calibration..! 👀 It was checked with our 2' and 4' levels and the numbers were right where they should be for our use.✔ In the manual it states the accuracy as:A.) plus/minus 0.1 degrees @ 0 degrees and 90 degrees.B.) plus/minus 0.2 @ other angles.C.) Shows angle to nearest 100th. ( 0.01 )✔ We got this to use on all kinds of DIY projects from cabinets and wood working to welding steel frames. I'm sure we'll find a use for it....❗✔ This electronic level comes packaged with two AAA batteries that you need to install by unscrewing 3 tiny screws on the back cover.✔ When it first came on and showed an "ERR" message I was thinking I got a lemon but the unit can't be tilted back or forth otherwise you will get the dreaded error message. Once you press the "Hold" button you can tilt it back to read the measurement.✔ Since the base is only a couple inches long it might be tricky to get an accurate reading If the surface is rough or uneven. We just place it on a 4' level and check it from there. I also like that it has a pretty strong magnet on the bottom.Good:1.) Very accurate.2.) Strong magnet on bottom.3.) Backlit for 30 seconds.4.) Comes with a case and a belt loop on it.5.) Low battery indicator.Not So Good:(Nothing Yet....✔)Not a big deal but:1.) I'd rather have a snap on battery cover instead of the 3 screws. Just my preference.2.) Maybe move the hold button on top.
