I absolutely love this cleaning ester. When I ended up with an empty bottle I tried to use some of the other cleansing products that I have in my stash and NOTHING compares to this!! I am 55 years old and to the point that moisture really matters in all of my skincare. I will never be without this product again.

NIOD Low-Viscosity Cleaning Ester (240ml) (LVCE) I purchased LVCE as part of the NIOD Introductory Set No1 and it came in the 50ml/1.7oz size.The Good... After managing about a dime sized amount, I was very impressed at how quickly and easily LVCE made my makeup glide off my face. This stuff even takes off any hard-to-remove makeup, like mascara, without any effort. After a few seconds, everything is like a makeup soup and I wipe it all off with a cotton pad soaked in warm water. I follow up with some Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Mattifying to be sure nothing remains. Then, to balance my face, I follow up with By Terry Baume de Rose Hydrating Toner.The Bad... LVCE doesn't have the greatest initial smell. I dispense a small amount in my palm, rub both hands together to distribute, then bring both hands to my face to manage off my makeup. Every time that I have used this, there is an initial first smell of something a little funky like 'wet dog'?!?! (I really don't have a better description for the odor.) The scent is not horrible or overbearing but it is noticeable. Thankfully, as soon as you smell it, the scent goes away.Final thoughts... LVCE, retails for around $45.00. That price for a makeup remover seems a little steep but, in this case, you get what you pay for. A very small, dime sized amount powers through everything on my face. When my smaller bottle is finished, I will repurchase the full size!! The NIOD Introductory Set No1 retails for around $70.00 and I will review that separately. I am glad I received the LCVE in this kit because I probably would not have blindly purchased the LVCE at $45.00 and I really would have missed out on a hidden gem.
