We joke that this dog bed is better than our bed and almost as big…honestly, it kind of is. I got it for our Foster Husky who’s about 80+ pounds and not that into dog beds because he has such thick fur, he usually prefers the cold wood floors. But he has really taken to this one. This is the first time he’s liked a bed. I wanted something that didn’t flatten out after a week, and this one is crazy thick, sturdy, and feels like it’ll last forever. Sometimes I lay down on it to snuggle him and he gets up and leaves and I stay awhile because it is seriously like a human super comfortable memory foam mattress. It arrived tightly packed, so I let it expand overnight before putting it together. Assembly was easy. You just unzip the outer cover and slide in the bolster and the base cushion. When I first put it together, I didn’t realize there was a separate chamber for the bolster pillow and thought it was made wrong. But a week or so later I realized I must be wrong (which I was) and there’s a separate chamber you need to slide the bolster pillow into. My bad. Now it’s perfect!! It's a bit heavy because of the size and materials, but I was able to manage it on my own without too much trouble. Definitely double-check your space before ordering—it’s massive. Like, no-joke it could (and does) double as a nap zone for a small adult, and it could accommodate any size dog I've seen...like a Great Dane or Mastiff. SUCH a high quality bed, it can’t be understated. Our non-bed-loving Husky took to it immediately and has barely left it since. I really like that the bottom doesn’t slide around and that all the covers zip off for cleaning. The top is soft, and the whole thing feels well made. It’s not an inexpensive item, but it is worth every penny. I have a feeling everything this company makes is this high-quality. You can just tell by the packaging, messaging and whole presentation that they put live into every one of their products. HIGHLY recommend.

I have two other beds in size L from Noah & Paw: this same style and the kind with the bolster all the way around except for a tiny cutout. Our GSD pup absolutely loves them, but at 6.5 months, he's already too big for the large ones. I decided to get the giant size to make sure that, whatever size he ends up at as an adult, he'll fit on his bed. This thing is massive! With our last GSD, we bought a crib mattress for her to sleep on after experiencing IVDD and some back half paralysis. This giant bed is nearly two of those side by side. Like the smaller sizes in this style, the bed unzips around two of its sides to slide the main cushion in. Once opened, you have another separate area along the 45" size to put in the bolster pillow. It's a little more annoying to assemble than the style with a bolster all around it, which has two separate zippered areas that are accessible from the outside. The material my dog lays against is nice to touch, but I'd prefer the velvety kind with this fake leather. One thing to note: while the bed scales up in size in terms of length and width, that does not apply to the thickness of the bed and bolster nor the bolster's width. A slightly higher bolster would be nice for a larger dog. The bed thickness is not as much of an issue, since it's the same super-dense foam that can handle the large distributed weight of a giant adult dog, but I'd imagine the bolster is less comfortable on larger dogs' necks. You can kind of see this if looking at the product images for this style of bed in sizes small and giant - the small looks more luxurious in its proportions.

This is such a nice pet bed. It is quite small, so I would say it is most suitable for cats and small dogs under 20# or so. Unless I missed it, I didn't see a guide for choosing sizes, which might be helpful with this type of product. If it helps, I already have two of these beds in a size medium for our dogs (Frenchies) that weigh 35# and 40# respectively. Although both of them would fit on one medium sized bed if they liked to sleep cuddled together, they don't. They prefer being able to stretch out and the medium gives them plenty of room to spare.I liked the beds so much that I wanted to get one for the cat (the true king of the castle). I'm never very good at visualizing sizes. Just from looking at the listed dimensions, there didn't really seem to be a big difference between the medium sized beds I already have and this small sized one. But there is definitely a big difference when seeing the beds side by side in real life, so I'm glad I went with a size medium for our pups. The small size would just not have worked. The bed is very well made and it looks great, too. It reminds a bit of a fancy chaise lounge. The bed isn't heavy, but it is sturdy and has a substantial feel. There is a handle on one side for easy carrying. The outer cover is soft and velvety but feels durable and the faux leather on the sides is smooth and flexible. The bottom has silicone grips so the bed won't slide around if placed on bare floors. I appreciate that the outer cover can be removed for laundering. As it turns out, the inner covers (one for the core and one for the bolster) can also be removed, which is a nice feature. As mentioned in the product description, the core is layered. It is quite supportive (our dogs barely make a dent in their beds and the cat, not at all) but it isn't hard. It must be comfortable because our pets liked their new beds right from the start.Assembling the bed is easy. The bed arrived in a compact, sturdy box. The core and bolster are vacuum sealed and start to expand as soon as the package is opened. Each piece has a black, silky feeling zippered cover. I find it easiest to go ahead and put both pieces into the outer cover and then let the bed rest until it fully expands. This makes zipping everything up a breeze. The main zipper wraps around two sides of the cover in an L shape, making it easy to pop the core in. Be sure to put the core in with the cooling egg crate layer on top! The bolster goes into a second compartment that is sort of hidden -- the zipper is accessed from inside of the outer cover. So, there are three washable covers (inner cover for the bolster, inner cover for the core + outer cover) + four zippers (one for each inner cover and two for the outer cover). All of them operate smoothly. This bed is well designed and I'm very happy with the quality of the construction as well as the materials. Like so many pet owners, I've gone through lots of beds and it is hard to find something this nice that is also affordable. I find this one to be well worth the money.
