Soft blow pads deteriorated and fell apart. I called the factory and none of my messages were returned. I have some of their brass hammers and they are great, but this one gets a zero.

This hammer has worked well for two years until one of the faces cracked and broke off. I called Nupla customer service about replacement faces and was told only the quick change models had replaceable faces. I should have checked about the faces before the purchase but if you use the hammer frequently be aware that once the face cracks the hammer needs to be discarded. The rest of the hammer is beautiful so it is upsetting to have to throw it out. The faces just push into the head and twist 90 degrees and look to be easy to replace if they were available.

Very ridged hammer and it has been reliable so far. It's hard to find good hammers like these and I would recommend it for sure.
