This scale will work great if you calibrate it at 200 grams not grains. I used 40 nickels. The pass fail feature is misleading. Use exactly 40 nickels or a 200 gram calibration weight and it will work fine. Easy way to tell if you calibrated it properly is if the weight is stable . If your weight keeps changing take the batteries out and reinstall them , then recalibrate the scale to grams.

Bought this for building arrows and tested it with a 100gn target point. Rated the scale and the resulting weight was way off. The scale does not come with a 200 gram weight to calibrate it and I do not have one lying around. The website recommends using Nicole’s in place of the 200 gram weight but I couldn’t get it to be exactly 200 either. I do not recommend this unless they start selling with a calibration weight.

This is my first ever review. But I must say that this product is complete junk. I spend thousands of dollars on my hunting equipment, gear, leases, etc. I bought this to weigh my arrows and it will give you a completely different reading on the same arrow every time. It requires you to obtain a 200g calibration weight just to calibrate it for the first time. Well, let me just pull that out of my A*#... Like I just have a but load of those laying around. You would think they would let you know that when you bought it. I could go on and on but I have better things to do with my time. Bottom line, it is junk, built like crap and is crap. Do not buy this. Save yourself the headache of having to haul it to the UPS store! More of my valuable time wasted!

Great price and works well. LCD screen is a bit hard to read sometimes and the buttons are small and easy to push the wrong one but for the price this is a nice set of scales and it works well. Very satisfied with this product.

Worked as advertised. Had to calibrate the scale, I used Canadian $.25 quarters, 41 or 42 of them if I recall, or purchase the 100 grain weight . After you calibrate use a field point or Broadhead that you know the grain of to be sure.

An excellent, well made product. I weighed several complete arrows, recording each weight. I then removed the arrow point, weighed it. I then weighed the arrow shaft. Arrow shaft weight plus arrow point totaled total arrow weight on all arrows tests. When weighing the arrow shaft or complete arrow, make sure the arrow is properly balanced on the scale to receive an accurate reading. I lifted the arrow etc. several times, rechecking my readings. If properly balanced, the readings will be identical. Doing a digital test with a meter on the included batteries, they are high voltage showing 1.62 volt when first tested. Very happy with this product.

Broken on receipt - resolution within 24 hours! :-) Battery cover broken and falls off. Manufacturer called first thing this morning to return my after hours call to their customer service last nite to say they will mail me a new cover today! Now, that is customer service at its best. Thank you OMP.Also bought the separate 200g calibration weight, All processes - on-calibrate-tare-weighing-off - went smoothly as I prepped the setup to weigh some arrows. Scale has a loose SS pan over the scale pad for some reason. This pan had a sticky label on it that when peeled off left the mother of all gummy residues. Unit includes a separate holder for the arrow which cannot be stored inside the scale case, nor can be the weight altho the weight is several times the mass of the scale w/its case, batteries, and arrow holder all combined. Life goes on. More stuff to track. Batteries included and were installed which was most likely how the cover got broken as it has a very spindly fragile 'latch' bar sorely needing a redesign. With the label that leaves the gummy residue, the stupid battery door closure design, no storage for the arrow holder, and the unattached scale pan this company needs to get serious about making some long overdue much needed basic product fixes. All 18 arrows weighed the same +/-4 grains fletched, nocked, & field tipped which seems reasonably accurate given the arrows have been shot thousands of times and were not precision assembled. Scale performance gets an A+. Should the time come, figure I can also use it for weighing powder and shot for handloading.

Great little compact Arrow scale. Had it set up in just a matter of seconds. I had all ofmy arrows weighed at the local Pro Shop I use. So I knew just what all my arrowsweighed in at. This little scale shot the same weights that I have obtained from my localPro Shop. I was actually kinda of expecting them to be off by 1 or 2 grains, but they weren't.Just so ya know, when setting the calibration the directions wanted me to use a 200 grain weight.Well I didn't purchase 1 of these, so I just used 2 of my 100 grain broadhead tips. So there is morethan 1 way to skin a cat! I would recommend this this little portable scale to all archers that are justwanting to check everything out before entering the hunting fields.

I have several different bolts and arrows that I use in my Cross-Bow. I have changed some of the Nocks and I wanted to have a good idea of the total weight of my arrows, so I could make an "adjustment" when using a carbon bolt versus an aluminum bolt. The scale is basically a small scale that measures in Grains, but has a nice holder that you can use to balance the arrow over the scale. It is very simple... but works like a charm. In addition, you can get a small plastic bowl and zero set the scale and you could use this to weigh gunpowder if you reload your own ammunition.Good Scale... Versatile.... Good Quality... all that equals 5 Stars!
