Im falling in love with this hook. Im a catfish guide in Oklahoma and put them to the test for sure. On average we catch between 40 and 80 fish a trip. Some as large as 60lbs. The point is super sharp and sticky. It has a wide gap and nice offset. Mainly we use cut shad pieces. I like the number 7 or 8 the best but I also have used the 5's. I like the bigger hook for my right. The hook up rate is as good or better than other more expensive hooks I was using. Ive tried all kinds of hooks of sure. At this point and time I'm rigging everything up with these for cut bait and live shad. I use a way way bigger hook when I use live crappie or white bass a bait though. Give them a try.

I ordered the LUCKYFISHING Octopus Hooks for my fishing trips, and I am thoroughly impressed with their performance. These hooks are incredibly strong and very sharp, ensuring a solid catch every time. They hold cut bait exceptionally well, making them ideal for a variety of fish, including bass, trout, and catfish. I've used them in both saltwater and freshwater, and they have not disappointed. The durability of these hooks means I can rely on them for multiple fishing expeditions without worrying about them bending or breaking. Overall, these are fantastic hooks for any angler.

Hooks work great on catfish noodles. Haven't had an empty hook yet, plenty sharp and seem to be stout enough to hold a good size catfish. Price is great for this quality of a hook.

These are decent octopus hooks. They are built strongly for this size of hook, stiff and sharp. It actually feels a bit lighter and somewhat thicker in wire gauge than other Size 1/0 octopus hooks I've used for some reason. Not by much but it does feel different. The twist in the hook makes a nice hookset. There also seems to be an anti-rust coating, and I don't know if the base metal actually rusts unless I use it a while in salt. These type of black coated hooks generally need replacing every few fishing trips which I do anyways so it's no big deal. These hooks definitely work well for bait setups.
