Very good clippers at first! I really like these but when I got to my bunny’s foot it splintered one of his toes and he ran away. I will try to sharpen the blade soon though because it should work well but I looked very closely(you can’t see in the picture) the base is ever so slightly chipped and I believe that caused his claw to splinter. He has been licking at his paws a lot now though

Other people mentioned this problem in reviews. I should have read the reviews before I purchased.The nail clipper do not open. No way to trim claws. Frustrating! The little cats I just got as FOSTERShave nails that are lethal. Back to the drawing board.

It does its job! And the blades are nice and strong. I like that it came with a nail filer too, but we'll see if our puppy likes that haha

The clippers are nice and sharp giving clean cuts. The adjustable safety gauge is helpful to prevent cutting to short.

If you look close at the first picture there’s a added little piece of metal so it prevents over cutting of the nail. It stops the nail from going in to far so a nice feature to have. I’ve used there on rabbits and Guinea pigs and works great super sharp and safer to use
