We travel and tow our Tahoe T18 sport boat in the summers. In BullFrog, Ut / Lake Powell there are no Super chargers for over 125 miles, so we improvised and shared our 30 amp RV plug with this adapter and our Tesla mobile charger to keep it ready for the return home. A nice to have when you want to venture out. Follow the instructions and set the car to 24 amp. Works like a charm.

Worked great! Despite that my campsites had general plug and 14-50 I’ve bought it just in case. Often there’s only TT-30. I was able to charge around 3kwh overnight that added me 25% of charge to my model y. The breaker was at 30 amps, but i didn’t experiment with it and charged on 24 amps as recommended.

I bought this to be able to use a TT-30p outlet that I really wasn’t using. Gives me a higher 30amp breaker I could use for charging my Tesla model 3. I’m currently using a Chevy bolt mobile charger with the 14-50p with a Tesla adapter to charge my Tesla. Just make sure you set your amp charge rate lower than 30amps. Works for my bolt and model 3. Chargers at 120v but at a higher amp which makes charging faster than using a standard 120v 15amp outlet at 80% 12amp rate.

I've only had a chance to use this once, but I was able to charge my Tesla Model 3 (2018 Long Range) with no issues at a 30 amp RV outlet. I just updated the charge setting to 24A, plugged my mobile connector into the 14-50 adapter and then the adapter into the outlet.One nice thing that the pictures don't show - the warning to change your charging settings to 24A is written on the blue label that wraps around the adapter, which is a nice reminder.

Buyers should be more informed that this adapter will not work when attempting to charge an EV from sources (like Jackery Solar Generator 2000) that have a floating ground.
