This is one of the most challenging resins I have printed with, but if you get your settings dialed in, its incredible. I have found that printing large prints is almost impossible with my elegoo machines for some reason (like full platform size) but smaller items, maybe a couple inches square print well. Heating this resin is a MUST in my opinion.

This is an absolutely great product. It is virtually indestructible. Will flex without snapping, and returns to its initial shape. Produces high-quality prints that are extremely durable. Have drilled/tapped parts made with this product; threads hold up extremely well. The only drawback is that it requires 80-second base layers (at least 5) in order to stick to the base plate, and 24-second layers to produce the printed part. Not a problem.Pricey, but WELL worth it!!! I have used it for over a year with consistent results. Recommend it highly.

Multiple attempts to trial this product. I’m not sure how it’s possible but they seem more brittle than without the Onyx. I used a mix of 25% Onyx and 75% Phrozen 8K resin weighed accurately with a kitchen scale. FWIW I’m a pretty experienced printer and have high standards. Very disappointed. I am going to try to return it.

It took me an entire bottle of wasted prints to get it dialed in, but in the end it's the toughest material I've ever printed. I make a part that it constantly impacted by a metal rod and this is the only thing that stands up to the abuse. On a Halot Mage, I found I had to rough up the plate with sandpaper, use four sheets of paper to level it, and set the base curing time to 60 seconds. Its also a VERY slow printing material; a 6" long piece takes about 48 hours. In the end the product is much stronger than Siraya Blu Nylon, Phrozen Nylon Green, and the classic Blu/Tenacious mix (as well as any ABS-like out there, of course).

If you make gaming pieces or highly detailed figurines....move along. This is not for you.If you make functional parts that need to hold up to real world use then this is the resin to use.The parts made with this stuff are stronger that what I get from Nylon 12 powder on a Formlabs Fuse 1, with a better surface finish and more detail. It can be challenging to use. It's very high viscosity so you need very long off times between layers to allow it to settle and stop moving before exposure. I use 60 seconds until the raft layers are completed and then switch to 10 seconds. Plate leveling is crucial with this stuff so check your leveling before printing. And because of the high viscosity washing will need more attention. I use 3 wash and dry cycles. 6 minutes in the wash, blow dry and wash again X 3.In short this stuff mimics the performance injection molded parts but without the $10K tool. Great for lower volume production part runs. Just know that it will be a more complex workflow than model resins.

I make carbon parts and sometimes I don’t need a metal mole. All I need is a simple 3-D printed mold. The resin printer offers high detail for very intricate parts. Before I’d have to make a mixture of Resin’s to try to get them all to survive, and even then they would only last for one part did usually have to literally break the mold with this new material. I can hit them all with a hammer pry it open with wedges, and the mold releases from the part. All the materials were in shattered across the floor. This one doesn’t even have a scratch. I love this material worth the price.

We used this for side loading tube clamps. It is great quality. Read the supplier instructions, and didnt take much product to dial in. Suggest flat surface prints only, as supports failed a lot. Suggest using the high side of the exposure settings from the manufacturer.Smell was unbearable, wear a mask and the work space MUST be ventilated. There is still a smell after curing, but it offgases slowly.Curing takes longer than suggested. Product will remain tacky with the 30 minutes per side suggestion. For a small product we were curing at least 30 minutes on every angle possible. Not for beginners, do not use if you are unfamiliar with 3d resin printing.

This stuff might be strong but it's incredibly slow to print (25 seconds per normal layer), stinky, really sticky and hard to clean up. Also not easy to print, still having trouble getting decent resolution.
