I use a ton of these 1:2 splitters for ethernet all over the house. We have a wireless mesh network all over the house, and to improve throughput speeds and reliability, I've hardwired as many of the mesh units as I can. At each work station around our house where I have computers (two offices, video studio and a recording studio) I use splitters to get ethernet to NAS units, monitors, computers and television sets. Throughput speeds are relatively unaffected, and the system is much more reliable. These switches are easy to install, requiring simple power via a USB-A adapter. Recommended.

Good product for POE devices. Well made chassis and strong construction.

I used one of these switches to connect 2 ethernet cameras to a single poe cat5 cable. It worked perfectly. The unit comes packaged in a tough case. The connectors snapped in nicely and hold well. Simple device but worked as expected

I ordered this switch for my home office as I use both a desktop and laptop at the same time and wanted more reliable internet connections. Feels like my wireless network can be slow at times so wired connections seemed to be a better fit. I've been very pleased with this Ethernet switch. I'm able to run a single cable from my router to my office and have that cable give an internet connection to both of my computers. I sometimes work with embedded devices such as Raspberry Pis so the PoE capability of this switch has come in handy to supply power and network connection during development.I was impressed by the build of this switch. The outer shell is metal and feels sturdy in the hand.It appears to have good shielding from noise as I haven't noticed any loss in speed compared to just directly connecting the Ethernet cable to one of my computers. Been using this switch for over a month now and haven't run into any issues!

I recently decided to try the AUKOKIOULA Gigabit POE Injector as a simple solution for splitting my network connections without running extra cables. On the whole, it gets the job done, and I can't complain about the speed – the 10/100/1000Mbps transmission rate is more than enough for what I need. It’s fairly straightforward to set up, and I had everything running smoothly within a few minutes. No tech degree required, which is always a bonus! The build quality seems decent, though it’s not the most robust piece of kit I’ve handled. It feels a bit lightweight, so I wouldn’t want to drop it too many times. Still, it hasn't fallen apart, so that’s something. The fact it supports the 802.3af/at standards is a big plus as it means it's compatible with most modern network setups. However, a slight downside is the lack of flexibility. The device only works in certain configurations, which might be a bit limiting if you’re hoping for something more versatile. It would be nice if it came with more detailed instructions or tips on how to use it in different scenarios, as the ones provided are a bit too basic for my liking. For the price, I’d say it’s good value, especially if you’re looking for a budget-friendly solution to power multiple devices over Ethernet. Could it be sturdier? Sure. Could it come with better documentation? Absolutely. But for what it’s designed to do, it works, and it works well. Just don’t expect miracles!

I was absolutely certain that this was going to be a 2-pack. But no, it's a 2-Port. The picture in the listing is as-is in order to show both sides of the device.I hooked it up to an existing PoE line which had a 24v .4amp power supply, but unfortunately it wouldn't power up. If you're going to power it off of PoE, make sure you've got plenty of wattage going into it, and probably preferably 48v.

I wasn't sure what to make of these "ethernet splitter" boxes, as the typical situation is to just use a switch. Having played with this one, however, I think I can seem some limited use cases for them.In this case, you have a single 1Gbe link going into two POE links that SHARE that 1Gbe uplink. This allows for the following bandwidth scenarios:- 1Gbe total in/out via the single uplink port- 1Gbe total in/out for any single downstream port- Shared 1Gbe, or 500Mb each, for both downstream ports if they both attempt 1Gbe at the same time- 1Gbe total in/out between the two downstream ports if they are talking to each otherSo this is a bit different than an actual ethernet switch, where all of the ports should be getting the full rate all the time, or nearly so. Here, the addition of POE makes it so that this "splitter" can actually handle a use case that is overkill for a full switch: running two endpoint devices, like access points, cameras, etc. far from the main network switch. In those cases, since you aren't likely to need the full 1Gbe per device, this product works just fine. I tried to POE cameras and they powered up and streamed their full video profiles easily with far less bandwidth needed than 1Gbe.Given that 48V power supplies are not common, not having one come with this product is a bummer. It will definitely take some effort to find one rated to handle the max power that this "splitter" allows, and in my case I used a bench DC power supply to dial in the 48V and 2A that the cameras used.

It turns out that the original unit I received was dead. The seller was kind enough to reach out to me and offer a replacement. This replacement unit works exactly as expected. There are other PoE splitters I have tried that were quite limiting. Not this one! Being a Gigabit Switch, this unit lets me pass through 1000Mbps. What makes this great, is to get another leg of Power Over Ethernet I do not need the expense and effort to fish another Ethernet cable to where I need power. Since I need to add an additional Access Point in the back of my property, I am going to use the existing Access Point cable that is receiving PoE, connect it to the PoE IN port on this splitter, then I will use the PoE OUT 1 port to provide power to the original Access Point, and the PoE OUT 2 port to provide power to the new Access Point. This is a great value when you consider the alternatives. If my switch that provides PoE does not have any available ports, I would need to add another switch. If I was lucky and my switch did have a free port, I would still need to run a cable to the new Access Point. This is both easier and quicker. Lastly, there is a reputable seller behind this product and that makes this choice even better for me.ORIGINAL REVIEWI am thinking maybe I received a dead unit as my results are not what I read in other reviews. When I plugged this splitter in, I did get the green LED on the PoE IN port. The splitter even felt a little warm to the touch. I used my UniFi Industrial Switch which has (8) 60 Watt PoE++ ports with a total of 430 Watts of total PoE availability. This splitter was unable to power even 1 Ubiquiti airCube AC, which has always been powered by the Industrial Switch and only requires 0.83A, PoE 24V. This splitter also has the ability to be powered by an AC 48V power supply. Unfortunately, I do not have one to try to see if that would have worked letting me know the problem is with the PoE IN port. I really wanted this to work. If the manufacturer reaches out to me and replaces this unit I will happily update my review.

Having been experiencing a lot of wifi issues and wasting a lot of money on high end wifi adaptors in the hope of increasing speed I decided to give up and hardwire throughout the whole house.I ran an Ethernet cable up into the office and required a splitter so I could lead one cable to the xbox and the other to the PC. This is where this little device came in.Its as simple as its looks. One end in, two out. Plug it in for power and you’re good to go.I pay for 900mb internet and havent got quarter of that in my office. Now hardwired and passing through this AUKOKIOULA Gigabit POE Ethernet Splitter Im getting every single kb (and more oddly) Ive never had speeds like it and this device clearly doesn’t bottleneck any data. Highly recommended!
