When bubbling sugar water gets up to 250F, I want as much distance from my face as possible, so I picked this long stemmed thermometer. Works well, buy an extra pot clip, it’s very nice not having to hold the thermometer

This is a solid, well made, long stem thermometer, great for checking mash temperatures when brewing. Accuracy is certified. Hope if holds up better than the cheaper thermometers I've used in the past!
