Unfortunately, the quality of this nesting box was inferior. I opened the lid to remove the perching peg and after that, the lid refused to close and kept popping open. Also, the cylindrical perching peg was too big in diameter to fit in the drilled hole, so that was that. The entire box could use a re-sanding. Just not something I wouldn't feel confident having my bird nesting inside. Very unhappy with the product. The shipping was fine and product was delivered safely and quickly. But I wouldn't ever purchase this again and wouldn't recommend it.

so i got my box i was supper happy the perch was a little hard to get in there but i did there were rough parts that looked unsanded and the top made a loud squeak if you opened it but luckily sanding the bottom of the door fixed it and i had to sand the bottom it does have a divot for the eggs luckily it doesnt show that in the photos but there was like adhesive at the bottom i had to sand away and i sanded the divot a little bit since its a very soft wood and still if but it was shedding it still sheds but not as much but my biggest issue is there is no mounting for the side of the cage so you will have to leave this at the bottom of the cage instead im gonna try to make my own mounting system though so it does need a bit of work but not much probably one of the best deals on amazon just never get the boxes with the metal washers you never know if they are bird safe and if your bird chews on it a lot it can be harmful

Its a cute house. I bought this house for House Finches. Unfortunately the birds want to build the nest on top of box and it keeps sliding off. It has attracted a lot of birds

I was amazed at how fast they got here cause they were for Mother's Day. I love how they come plain so they can be decorated the way you want.

Very expensive for what you get. Small hole for a parakeet. Has 2 sharp nails sticking out inside of it. They are supposed to carry the removable top, but they could hurt your bird while inside the nest. Had to bend the nails in to make sure they can’t hurt the bird. You need to glue the perch into place to secure it. It shouldn’t be more than 10 bucks in my opinion. In less than a week, the birds chewed the perch and broke it. So we replaced it with another, better perch which we glued on. So not worth the money and terrible quality. NOT RECOMMENDED.

This is easy to use. The only issue was that the one in the photo on Amazon shows a perch, the one we received did not come with one. It does have the spot on it where it belongs, just no dowel attached. As it was purchased for rescue birds, we didn't really have time to try to return it or really mess with it. So just making due. Otherwise it would be a 5 star. It was exactly as described. Easy to use. Reasonably easy to clean. Love that the lid lifts open easily.
