I have been using this style of opener since the first AS SEEN ON TV ones that came out. This works similar to the rest in terms of smooth cut without sharp edges and ease of use. This is the first one I've had that has been rechargeable so that's an upgrade. The power light that turns on when in use is nice also.Downside is that this is substantially louder than others. I just used it for the first time and after opening an average sized can it seemed to keep working longer than others to the point that I had to hit the power button again to turn it off since it was so loud. They normally continue to run for a few seconds then turn off but this seemed to be longer. Will try it more and compare.

More Than Just a Senior's Gadget: A Lifesaver for Arthritic Hands! While this automatic can opener is clearly marketed towards seniors, its benefits extend far beyond that demographic. My wife, who suffers from arthritis in her hands, has found this little appliance to be an absolute game-changer in the kitchen. The struggle to grip and turn a traditional can opener is now a thing of the past.I haven't owned the can opener long enough to comment definitively on the battery life, but I've opened about a dozen cans so far, ranging from smaller sizes to larger ones, and I'm impressed. The motor hasn't shown any signs of slowing down or struggling, which is a great sign. The one-touch automatic operation is undeniably the star of the show. Placing the can under the opener and simply pressing a button to watch it work is incredibly convenient. This ease of use, coupled with the smooth edge cutting and safe design, provides real peace of mind. No more worrying about sharp edges or pesky metal debris falling into the food. This can opener is small, lightweight, and easy to store, making it a perfect fit for any kitchen, regardless of its size. Ultimately, this isn't just a product for seniors; it's a well-designed kitchen aid that can benefit people of all ages and abilities, especially those struggling with grip strength or arthritis. Highly recommended!

Hi folks. This kitchen tool is great. I have used other brands in the past that are like this one but will only refer to this Easyvava brand here.I have difficulty opening cans and jars. This is because of arthritis in my thumb joints. I cannot use the manual crank can opener. This tool is a savior for me. I truly love it.The can opener fits in your palm. Use only requires a charge and a press of the button. The rest is automatic. You can use this on large cans also. I have not used it on small cans. All you do is place the opener on the top of the rim of the can. Just press the one button and that is it. The device will automatically shut off and eject from the lid. Folks, that is it.If you have difficulty opening cans consider getting this tool.

Grabs the lid halfway, then flings sharp metal shards everywhere. Nearly cut my hand twice. No grip warnings in the manual. A lawsuit waiting to happen.

This can opener is very noisy with a very high pitched annoying sound. I have to cover my ears! Also doesn’t seem to know when to stop!Should have returned!

This was mentioned as an easy operating can opener for Seniors & That Is 100% Correct. It's Fun Too. As a Senior Couple @ 72 &79 we get a kick @ the speed . We just noticed that after 1 go around the can we had to push again to stop.Push On/ Push OffThis is Perfect for any age household . We've used it often every day & still haven't had to recharge yet & it's been quite a while. This is Quality & Worth the Price & so Fast it's FUN. THX

I got this can opener after seeing how easily one like it worked for a friend while visiting them on vacation. The idea of having an open can with no lip without having to turn a crank forever really appealed to me. And this can opener delivers. I just place the opener on the can, push the button, and watch as it cleanly cuts the lid off. After a couple of cans I got pretty good at pressing the (moving) button, which then stops the opener when it is released. When it is stopped, it reverses a bit to release the lid from the cutter, but the built-in magnet lets me lift the lid for disposal. It seems to be built well and fits well in my hand.I haven't really had this can opener long enough to speak to battery life, but I've opened about a dozen cans so far and there has been no sign of it slowing down or stalling, even on large cans of tomatoes. I only wish it sounded a little more like a Maserati than an old Volkswagon. And that it was quieter - it's loud.
