I've included some pics of my build that is still evolving in my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It has really turned into quite a bit more than I ever thought it would. However, some of you, if you are smart about your own builds/car audio projects, will take heed to all of these fantastic reviews, and toss any misconceptions, or ridiculous, audio-snob-ish preconceived notions you may have regarding "budget", or "no-name" car audio gear, right out the window where they belong, and go ahead and start believing all they hype when it comes to not only THIS amplifier... But ANY product - and I mean ANY product - that bears the Recoil Audio moniker! Because when I tell you that these guys are NOT playing around, and are here to stay... (How does G-Eazy put it??? Yeah, that's right...) I MEAN IT!!This REA600.4 class A/B 4 channel amplifier was the very first piece of my car audio build that I purchased after coming across a Memphis Audio SRX 12 inch subwoofer in a Memphis enclosure, and the accompanying SRX little class D stereo bridgeable amplifier, just sitting around collecting dust behind a bunch of other stuff in our storage space, and deciding "to hell with it... it may have been 20+ years, but not too much has changed since my 20s, and I can put this stuff in myself, and be enjoying some better sounding audio in the ol' Jeep in no time"... Yeah well... My wife saw the writing on the wall as soon as all the wire showed up from Amazon to wire the Memphis stuff up, and she looks at me and says "oh... So you promised me you were done wiring up speakers in our house after a year and a half worth of installs, and upgrades, and so now you're just moving on to your Jeep, is that the way of it then love?!" Man, I can't tell you guys out there just how lucky I am to have landed the woman I married too... Because, unlike the ex... She says it with a smile, gives me a kiss on the cheek, and says, "it was a rhetorical question... go have fun... just try not to piss off the neighbors like you did the day you got the subwoofer for the house, okay"... And that was IT! I was off and running, and Recoil Audio stuff - and JBL stuff too - has been showing up in the driveway by our garage ever since. And part of it has been some Recoil Audio components, 4x6 coaxials, and a Class D "D.I." series, 4 channel Recoil amplifier, which I took the time to install in her truck as well. And ALL of it sounds out of this world! And I haven't even installed any sub(s) for her yet, but I've got two Recoil Audio PW8D4s sitting on stand-by that she hasn't peeped out yet. And just as soon as I order the enclosure necessary to get them into her Chevy Silverado, she'll be loving life, and listening to all her music with some low-end THUMP-THUMP, just like me!And the reason that I say "anyone smart will take heed", is because, due to the fact that Recoil Audio sells such amazing, yet affordable car audio products - just like this REA600.4 4 channel class A/B amplifier here - , means that all of us "average Joes" out here who work our blue-collar jobs (and all you white collar guys - and gals - should go right on and jump on the bandwagon too... Because just because there are plenty more WAY more pricey options out there in the realm of amplifiers - and just about anything else you can think up in car audio too - DOES NOT mean that you HAVE to spend that additional money purchasing that stuff! I mean, I'm not sure if anyone has bothered to spread the word on that fun fact... But NEWSFLASH folks!!! Recoil Audio is on the scene now! "Oh yeah... Well what is that supposed to mean, huh? Something special?!" I can hear so many saying that right now. And to those individuals, I say this... NO! Not anything "special" at all! Just a company that is finally doing what EVERY car audio company SHOULD have been doing for ages before now! And that is, putting out products that we ALL can afford, and providing the opportunity for EVERYONE to be able to experience killer audio in their vehicles, by making available, products just like this REA600.4 amplifier, and doing so at prices that are not only competitive, but more along the lines of groundbreakingly affordable! But it doesn't stop there people! Oh no! This next one is just as important/meaningful, if not even more so... And that is, that Recoil Audio, is not only making such products readily available, but they are also giving HONEST assessments as would pertain to their specifications in regard to each and every last one of their products! Better yet, if Recoil Audio states a spec on a product. The truth is, that more often than not, that product will not only do what they say it will... But in reality, it will all but certainly go quite above and beyond any specs you may find on their packaging, their advertisements, their own website, etc!! And that is NO joke, I mean what I am saying right here and now! And while that SHOULD be the NORM... Unfortunately, any of us who have been into, and involved with the car audio industry for several years or more, know all too well, that such is definitely NOT the case! Not by a long shot! In actuality, true, real-deal TRANSPARENCY, in regard to specifications, as they would pertain to car audio gear and equipment, is most certainly NOT a word that can typically be used in relation to very many companies on the map currently. A great deal of even the biggest names in the industry, have gotten by for years and years, with straight-up, and out-right falsifying quite a great deal - if not ALL of - their specifications. And such practices are not reserved to places like Amazon alone! Oh no! More often than not, Amazon's information is pulled straight from the pages of the owner's manuals, and web pages of the manufacturers/distributors/whole-sale sellers themselves! If you want TRANSPARENT... Well, I just gave it to you folks! And while it sucks, and it most certainly is NOT fair, just, right, or true, in ANY way, shape, or form... It is still the harsh REALITY that we as consumers must face when we set out to research the car audio (and many many home audio/video products as well) gear that we covet so dearly, and sit and dream of installing in our rides, with the hopes of reaching audio nirvana, or audio bliss, during our commutes back and forth to work each day, and to and fro, where ever else we may go as well, with our families, and with those friends we hope so much to impress with our most recent of upgrades, just knowing that when they hop into our rides and take a seat, that they are going to hop out, knowing it's their turn to peruse Amazon, or the local car audio shop, in order to find their next, new, impressive piece of kit that will "wow" us the next time we sit in their ride! And all the while... As we are researching... It is difficult to know what we can trust to be accurate, and what is just some fluke! To a point where, too often, we even go as far as to trust spending our hard earned dollars on one piece of kit or another... Hoping that it will deliver the goods to get us where we expect we should be after acquiring such a piece... Only to be severely disappointed, when we get nothing of the sort... Or worse, at times, something as bad as receiving "open-box" items, when we paid for a brand-new item, will be the type of shenanigans we encounter! I mean, there is just no limit to the depths to which some of these people/companies will stoop, simply for the sake of bolstering their profit margins in what ultimately only winds up being a minimal fashion in the grand scheme of things... And then they wonder why customers flock in droves, away from big name brands such as their own, an on to the much greener pastures of companies like Recoil Audio... Well... So much of it begins and ends with HONESTY, and great old American ideals like "treat others around you the way that you would like to be treated yourself", right! It's only the GOLDEN RULE people! And it is clear to me that Recoil Audio still gets it! And they appreciate what words like TRANSPARENCY, and HONESTY mean to the consumers out here! Consumers who, just like me, purchase one amplifier, and in doing so, find an opportunity, to go from simply adding an old P.O.S. sub, and equal quality amplifier and enclosure... To literally, installing their DREAM build/system! Even if it's going into something like my old 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee! Because when you are not only saving TONS of scratch, but also, installing quality components, that make your ride stand out in the crowd once again, even in spite of the fact that it's a solid 20+ years out of it's prime... There's just no reason anymore, to think to yourself "man, IDK??? is it really worth it to put this kind of investment into this old thing?" Because the answer, when it suddenly becomes affordable, and do-able, is ALWAYS going to be a strong "HELL YES it IS!!"Because car audio IS important! As Americans - and even people from many other countries as well - we spend more and more time, with each passing day, needing to commute, here, there, and everywhere... And why the hell not enjoy yourself whilst in the car, or truck, or SUV/MPV?! If you love to listen to your pod-casts, or talk on the phone hands-free... Why not do it with a Hi-Res set of speakers, and a quality noise cancelling mic, to where you can actually make out what is being said... And even with the windows all the way down, the person on the other end of the line, can make out everything you're saying too!Well... ALL OF THIS and so much MORE, is right there in front of you as a total possibility! And it's ALL thanks to a more recently broken on to the scene little-er company called Recoil Audio!! It's simply a matter of whether or not you are smart enough to TAKE HEED!! And LISTEN TO THE HYPE for once!! Because in the case of the folks at Recoil Audio... These guys - and Gals - are most certainly NOT "faking the funk"! No sir-ee! This company has got the goods... And they've got plenty to go around, and great prices to match great performance! And while we're talking about value here, lets not neglect to speak on the fact that, for what its worth, the products available from Recoil Audio also have the aesthetics department cornered as well! Because I for one LOVE the way their products look in my ride! They look clean. They look sharp. They look hip, cool, dope, sweet, killer, they got that drip-drip, that Ooooo-weeee, and ALL THAT other crazy s*** too! All wrapped up in one awesome package, with a bow on top and everything! No matter what you may be looking for... If it's car audio related... Chances are, that you will find exactly what you need in a Recoil Audio product! And unlike so very much of the competition, when you receive your delivery of whatever it is you may have ordered from Recoil... It's GOING to not only leave you pleased with your purchase, but impressed as well, and likely - if you're anything like me - it'll leave you already excited and plotting on whichever one your NEXT one is going to be as well!! (There's some more of that transparency for you! And I would say "don't say anything around the wife"... But Recoil's prices make it to where I never have to worry about sleeping in the dog house, or having my items delivered to some locker, instead of straight to my front door! Because the invoices never amount to any crazy, astronomical sums anyway! Especially when you consider what you've gotten for your money after you've installed it, and you have an opportunity to listen to the transformation it's made in your vehicle! So stop reading this already, and click on the "buy now"! If you are looking for a great class A/B amplifier for your car audio needs... You found it in the Recoil Audio REA600.4 four channel Class A/B amplifier! And if you need more power than what is on offer here... No worries, just check out the Recoil Audio DI Series amplifiers, and check out their DI1200.4, four channel Class-D amplifier, capable of pushing a clean 210w x 4 @ 4 ohms, or an insane 300w x 4 @ 2 ohms! Or, if you need a sub amplifier, you can bridge the DI1200.4 to push an unbelievable SIX HUNDRED WATTS x 2 @ 4 ohms!!! I've also got an RED1200.1 mono-block Recoil amplifier, which is seeing a 1 ohm load from my two JBL Stadium 122SSI twelve inch 500w RMS subwoofers (switched in the 2 ohm position each, and wired in parallel to a 1 ohm load, to pull the maximum 1250 watts RMS that the RED1200.1 is easily capable of handling, without even breaking a sweat! Point here being... No matter what your car audio amplifier needs may be... Recoil Audio has definitely got you covered with an amplifier that is sure to not only meet, but FAR exceed your expectations as well! So like I said... TAKE HEED, and buy yourself an awesome amplifier! You've past the need for anymore research or questions!

i have had many amps over the years , J L, RF, POLK , thought i give this try ! over all really nice amp for the $$ price factor $$ , however i have notice this amp to get very hot, when played loud for extended periods of time ! just something to be noted should you buy this amp. there are all kinds of contributing factors that would let this happen , this amp is not enclosed in any way, so it has lots of air moving around it ! time will tell how long it will last due to the fact this amp get hot, cheers

When I first installed this amp the quality of sound was like night and day to my previous amp. The amp is very compact but pushes alot of power. I did have one channel go bad on the amp but customer service had a new one shipped to me within 2 days. Six months later and never has it gotten warm and I was so impressed I bought another amp the 1200.1Red for my sub. Alot to love for so little money.

Bought this amp because of its positive reviews and impressive rms power rating. The amp sounded great and lots of power but it kept over heating and shutting down after about 20 mins of play with the amp on half gain and no bass boost. I had it powering 2 10 inch subs rated at 200watts rms and 2 6.5 3 way speakersI really wanted this amp to work out because when it is running it sounds greatUPDATEthis is the response I got from recoil over there 4 channel amp running a four speaker setupHello, the REA600.4 you purchased can only bridge a 200W 10-inch subwoofer, you will need to purchase another RED1800.5 to fully propel your current combinationWhen I questioned them on this reply they responded withSorry to bring you unpleasant shopping experience, this photo is REA600.4 parameters, you can look at it, it can only push a 10 inch subwoofer. So according to them this 4 channel amp can only run a 10 inch subwoofer well if that the case do yourself a favour and stay away from these ampsMy old JL 4 channel amp is running the same set up with no issue I was just hoping for more power but this is not the amp for that.

Project truck for customer 2010 Tacoma. Fot eid of JBL stuff completely. The 6.75" in rear doors are 3.5" in a plastic bowl that is embossed jbl. All of that looks cheap as it sounds! First time buying a recoil amplifier. Has good weight to it. Not fond of the speaker wire connections being stacked but that would be the only downside. Nice finish great layout, potentiometers are smooth and healthy feeling. This amp is suppling power to 2 sets of Kenwood P71 components. Highest clean signal rewarded a spl of 120.2. Ni believe this amp could support another 2 pairs. So crisp, accurate and clean for the money its a huge win! Customer is very happy and I'm glad this amp worked out for us.

Not much to say but soild amp at a great price, I have it hooked to Recoils premium SAM65 components set (they sound as beautiful as they look) and the combo sounds excellent. Audiophile sound for a great price. Can say I hate the 3 tiny sizes of Allen keys for the wire lugs but they were included fortunately.

Installed this in my boat. (The boat never hit the water) Running 4 Scar 5 inch full-range, 4 ohm speakers. It was in the garage playing while I was doing other repairs. Noticed the left rear channel was not working. Swapped input cables and speakers around to diagnose. Yup channel dead. Returned.Worked great, till it didn’t……
