Installed tho into my iPod 6th gen to get it back working for my workouts and garage work. Battery charged half way and work d initially and never charged again. Now I cannot even get it to cut on. I played about 5 songs and it was depleted of life.

Not an easy install for the common folk. I do this professionally. I also deal with parts vendors all over the world. Companies like this refurbish all sorts of products. Some will simply rebrand with their own decal which is also shady, not these guys, at least to these, a part timer with a sharpie is cheaper. Li-ion Batteries have a 2/3 year shelf life. This battery is already 6 years old! It’s an Apple battery that’s had the Apple name marked out for customs purposes. They also claim 500 cycles… The 3Utools website is a great tool to read battery life. This battery is old and has very little life left. Not even 100%… and of course, no “contact the seller” option. I wouldn’t trust anything they sell as “new”…. It won’t be…. I worked for a company like this. Take apart tons of electronics, relabel some things, sell them as new. Wasted my money,,,, don’t waste yours.

Honestly, biggest annoyance is that it did not come with the adhesive strips to reinstall the battery securely.As far as quality, it appeared to have the same markings as the original battery; BUT, there were a few things marked out with a Sharpie. If I were a guessing man, these batteries may have been made by the OEM but may have failed some part of the quality inspections and been marked to sell as “seconds”.The installation tools were typical of other install kits...needless to say, I had plenty of tools, really could have used the adhesive strips as mentioned above.For performance, only time will tell. The battery is working better than the old swollen battery, so... let’s see how long it lasts. It may take a few charge and use cycles to get the performance ideal.

So, this battery and replacement kit I ordered made the job easier that it would have been without the tools. I will definitely hang on to them for future endeavors. This isn’t an “easy” job, but it isn’ too difficult either. I was quoted $145 from a local iPhone repair place to do this, and I could have replace it for $300; and instead did it for less than $20. It took me about an hour but I was in no rush. I definitely recommend doing it yourself.
