I ordered this to use at a job site because I couldn't take my Klein through airport security (the cutting blade). One thing I like MUCH better is it does not ratchet. I never figured out the point of that on the Klein, it gets stuck if for some reason your blocked from full closure! It doesn't cut the wires on pass-through connectors quite as well as the Klein, but to be fair the Klein never cuts the #1 wire either.

DIY home owner working to setup new PoE security cameras. I have an old school crimper but after seeing this crimper with the passthrough feature I was intrigued. In theory, the passthrough feature would allow terminating RJ45 connectors really easy. To test my theory, I tested and terminated two ends of a CAT5E cable and as suspected this little tool makes terminating network cables a breeze. Highly recommend if you would like to save time and get excellent network terminations.

As a network novice who has the occasional use for making my own jumpers, this was an easy tool to learn how to use. Very solidly built, and has worked flawlessly for a couple of hundred crimps.
