These work great and fit relatively easy. Sound much better than factory considering one of the originals was blown. Being a single cab truck and it is used primarily around the house this works for me. I Stream XM to the stereo and these sound good for what I need.

I bought these speakers to replace my stock speakers in my Tahoe. They went in without modification to my Tahoe. Just some self drilling screws. They best part is they sound amazing. I would definitely buy them again. Can’t wait for my new kenwood player with apple car play , to complete my upgrade.

First things first: most of the negative reviews on this product are not an issue with the product itself. I liked them so well I'm here buying a second pair a few years after the first pair. Having said that, let me explain...I've been a car audio hobbyist for a long time. I bought a pair of these speakers to replace the factory speakers in my wife's 2005 Impala. At the same time I installed a 50w x 2 amp to drive them, and they sounded PHENOMENAL. That's really the point: these speakers really blossom with an outboard power amplifier. The sound is well balanced, I found the highs to be smooth and not harsh and sound reproduction across the spectrum is excellent. In the Impala you'd feel the impact against your calf. So, the reviewers who were complaining about bass response... read on.These very same speakers are now running off of the radio's onboard power in a different vehicle. I liked them so well I'm here buying a second pair to replace my rear factory speakers, and I wanted these because of my good experience as well as to make sure that all four speakers in my vehicle are voiced the same. They still sound good, but they really want an amplifier.Make sure you have a reasonable expectation of what they can do with and without an outboard amp. To get the most out of these speakers, and really any aftermarket speakers, you need to spend some time adjusting the tone or EQ controls on your head unit. Disable loudness and all of the other "features" that process the audio signal and turn the volume up to about 3/4 of the way, then adjust your EQ or bass/treble just until they begin to distort, then back down. Adjust volume to normal listening level and make small adjustments... all car speakers sound different if the windows are up or down (more reflected treble), when the car is on the road versus stationary, etc. With an outboard amp, these drivers will really put out some low end. With radio power alone you will likely need to cut the very low end from 80hz on down, or they're going to fart. These are not subwoofers after all, and they will move air against your pant leg with appropriate amplification.For the price, these are an absolute steal. You really can't go wrong with them, they work well in both a drop-in configuration as well as an enthusiast system. Highly recommended.

Based on the reviews I read, I ordered these speakers to replace the front speakers of my 2001 Chevy Suburban LT, which comes equipped with a premium sound system installed from factory. Let me first say that the complaints about the size being a little biger than the 6.5 inch advertized is true. However, once I removed the old speakers, instead of reusing the plastic speaker holder that comes with the old speakers, I simply drilled four holes on the door; by holding the speaker onto the door, I marked the location of the new holes with a marker, I then used a small punch to start mark the location of the new holes and then drilled the holes with much ease. Once installed, I was extremelly happy with the improvement in the highs, mid and the base of the new speakers. They are much superior in sound quality than the originals. I can compare the diferrence between the rear doors and the front door speakers and there is a marked difference. I will order another pair to install in the rear doors as well.This is a greate value purchase and can assure you to be very satisfied.Ed

These speakers sound great and don't require a lot of power to be used. However, my big complaint is that they are so large. They are definitely bigger than the specifications indicate and didn't align correctly with the holes in the speaker wells in either the front or back. I installed them in my 1995 Honda Civic Sedan. It's very annoying to have to do a lot of extra work to get them in. However, if you know what you're doing and don't mind drilling and possibly cutting parts of your car to make them fit, these are a great buy. The price and sound alone wooed me.
