Good deal. They fit in every way. No grease was in them at all. Also no grease fitting to make it easier to grease them. That being said they were effective and much cheaper than other assemblies. Just make sure you grease them up before install. You will also need to get self tapping bolts. That was an additional 10 bucks for 8 at a local hardware store. I did all that cut the yard and took it all apart again to grease them one more time.

Out of the box the spindles fell out of the mandrel s. Thought this was the normal. Installed the deck vibrates insanely. So much the feet feel wierd. When I get a chance I will be spending my money on Sears replacement parts instead of these.

Seems to be high quality replacement, although I've not used it extensively yet... I'll echo what other have said, you are going to need new self tapping bolts with this. Many of the old bolts will break when removing the old spindles. Personally, I think they should be included with purchase. (Only gave 4 stars because of this. New bolts are integral to this.) They can be purchased from you local hardware store for about $1.00 each. Hardened steel, self tapping bolts. Mounted up perfectly, and threaded easily. Pulley and blade mounted correctly and easily to the spindle. No grease zerks. Take note though, if your spindles have grease zerks you need to inspect the bearings (top and bottom) and make sure that the inner grease seals have been removed off of the bearings. Otherwise the grease zerks are worthless! i.e. the grease you are pumping into the zerks can never actually reach the ball bearings as the bearing grease seal is a barrier.

Exact fit. Works great. One thing to consider. You install with self threading bolts. [Not included] Fortunately I have an electric impact, and all was well, but with wrenches it would have been much tougher to install. Be sure to take it to a well equipped hardware store to get the correct bolts.

I ordered this item and it arrived the next day, but no spindle nut included. I returned the item with the explanation that the spindle nut was not included and immediately ordered another hoping the spindle nut would be with the new one. When the second one arrived, no spindle nut. Also the spindle mount does not come tapped because when they build these mowers at the factory they are assemble with self tapping bolts and pneumatic impact wrenches. also when removing the original mounting bolts the heads just broke off. I recommend purchasing 4 new 5/16-18 self tapping bolts. With a ratchet wrench and enough force to get them started they should tap themselves in OK. When removing the pulley spindle nut, I destroyed it because it was corroded on to hard. I recommend just ordering two new spindle nuts. One for the pulley and one for the blade.

For all you guys saying the holes weren't tapped. The original bolts are self tapping and they don't require tapping. They will self thread into the aluminum housing and work just fine.

I purchased a lawn mower blade spindle for my husky lawn mower. The description said that the spindle nut was included. It was not. I had to use the old one that had been worn by years of use. Then when I tried to install the spindle I realized that the mounting holes were not tapped. They had not even been drilled after the casting was removed from the mold. So I had to buy smaller bolts and used nuts to mount the spindle. The spindle it self seem to be working properly now.
