This a great tool, it cuts cleanly, it's fairly easy to use (I'm new to routing) but I bought it specifically to cut circles with but the base won't fit one of the guide tools I bought, and the fit on the other one is too sloppy (the jigs fault not the routers). I had better luck with the guide I made from scrap wood in my garage and using my std router :/. Hopefully I get the hang of it over the summer.Oh and I rated the ergonomics lower because the power cord is really stiff. I'm trying to cut a nice circle so when the cord doesn't allow for free flowing motion I end up with high/low spots.

I bought this Ryobi plunge router to make some signs from cedar boards. The router was easy to use with my sign kit and worked just as expected. I was very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to friends.

Very useful router and easy to use. I was able to precisely cut my circles and depth for my woofers and door pods with no issues. Tool very power so you'd need good mask and eye gear when working with MDF.

A couple of drawbacks to note:- The spring is too strong, hence its hard to press and plunge down, especially at the end.As a result, the only way to operate is with fixed level.- The spring does not smooth enough, when you press down and attempt to plunge the bit slowly, it may move with some jerks.- To get to the max depth 2 inch, you have to insert bits at half of its length, but the bit can be loose and fall out during operation. If tightening stronger, it chews the bits end slightly.

This is a well-made good looking router. The only issue is the slider is not smooth at all. Beyond that, I like it.

Easy to use. Great results. Depth guide needs to be tightened down when using...vibration dislodges the clamp.

Used this router for less than a minute before the depth adjustment came loose, my bit slammed into the piece, came loose from the router, and it flew into my table saw, gouging the surface. I'm lucky the bit stopped in something other than me. It shouldn't be legal to make power tools this poorly, and the comparatively low price isn't a valid excuse.

3 stars for good power, but that's about it. I can only use this as a fixed base router with additional screws and fabrication to keep the base from falling off.
