When drying herbs especially lavender; you need to keep humidity under control. In jars or humidity controlled bags 62% is perfect. No higher, no less for storing.these cover quite a lot of your stock. They come individually packaged so you’re not using them all. They last a long time too. Absolutely helpful!

These Saillong 8 gram humidity packs work for about 33% of the costs of Boveda 8 gram humidity packs.I have tested these Saillong packs against the popular brand Boveda packs and there are differences to mention. I tested the two brands in 1 quart mason jars with 4 hygrometers in each jar to take measurements. The jars were left open for approximately 20 minutes while I was labeling the 8 hygrometers for the test. The hygrometers all read between 27% to 30% RH in my workshop. I then placed 4 hygrometers in each jar, with the meters readings mixed, so that they averaged with my accurate wall hygrometer readings. So the start of the test the jars both had l readings averaged to 29% RH. A brand new Saillong pack and Boveda pack were then dropped into each jar and closed. The temperature in my workshop is 72 degrees Fahrenheit.I checked the readings in each jar 12 hours later and the Saillong jar was at an average of 51% RH while the Boveda jar was at an average of 59% RH.At the 24 hour check the Saillong jar was at an average of 59% RH and the Boveda jar was at an average of 61% RH.So the Saillong humidity packs did get the humidity in its empty jar to approximately 59% RH at 24 hours. The Boveda achieved the same level of 59% RH in just 12 hours in its empty jar. Which makes these Saillong humidity packs slower to correct humidity levels than the Boveda packs.These Saillong packs are very rigid when compared to the Boveda packs. This rigidness could be an issue when trying to bend the packs to fit into a jar.I will swap out some of the Boveda packs in a couple of the jars from October's harvest with these Saillong packs to see how well they perform with product.I will update this review if there's anything else to mention.

Use for my "tobacco" products to keep fresh in a jar and it works. Well worth the money.
