This rail mount arrived on time, but had been previously opened and the package was taped back together. The hardware was loose in the package as the bag that holds them was torn apart. I believe everything was included. Will find out when I i stall this on my boat.

You will need to find a way to keep the bracket from turning on the rail. Trying duct tape, which is a trick I saw online.

I mounted the rod holders tightly and the set screws striped out on several and the ones that didn’t strip out still moved on rail mounts, even tried an impact on 3rd attempt at re tightening and still didn’t work on all rod holders, not impressed with the product, especially for what they cost all together

I had some rid holders off my down riggers that weren’t being used so order these to go on my 23 trophy boat rails for trolling or still fishing.Only problem I had was once you pushed Todd holder down in the holder it’s was very difficult to get out to turn. This could have been the cableas holders I had not sure.I gave 5 start cause it wasn’t enough problem.I saw where others couldn’t keep tight on there rail and it took me two or three adjustments. I figure my rod drag is set where so there’s no worries of it dumping my rod.

Great idea, but ant tighten it enough, so would need to add a rubber in between to stop it from sliding . Otherwise great idea

Unfortunately this doesn’t stay still . Don’t buy it if you want to use it in rail. It moves around no matter how hard you screw it up

Just what the doctor ordered for my 2007 Smoker-Craft boat. I attached this to the 7/8" stainless steel bimini tubing just aft of the passenger seat and it's perfect for putting a rod perpendicular to the boat for trolling or when anchoring for catfish. It mounted tight with only two stainless steel bolts (provided) and two set screws (also provided) which keep the base from rotating on the tubing. I suggest you start the set screws before you begin the install as they are small and easily dropped. I can now fish with the bimini up or down simply by rotating the rod holder, not this base, 90 degrees.

I don't know why there are less than 5 stars. Scotty is the best sturdy plastic mount/rod holder u can get. I don't understand how people have trouble mounting this, no tools maybe? Measure the diameter of your railing. No problem with slippage it comes with a set screw (it isn't supposed to slip and don't see how it's possible still) still slip? use electrical tape if you must.. Scotty has always been good to me. I got 6 rod holders mounts on my boat, and had them for over 10 years, exposed to a lot of sun and salt.
