I have the knock off Malaysia jet fins from long ago (YEARS!!) Have since bought other fins, yet always gravitate back to the jet’s that now I don’t worry about the old straps. The springs are solid and the attachment nuts are ‘lock’ nuts. Was worried about that. No need for lock-tite.

I upgraded my ancient Twin Jet fins with the spring straps. The old rubber ones were still ok, but were getting hard to ratchet down. As for sizing, I installed the XL length on a set of Large Twin Jets. I wear Sz. 10.5-11 shoes and use a 3mm short bootie. The fit is perfect. They also fit fine with Sz. 11 Rock Boots for a DUI dry suit; they might be a little tighter than I'd normally like, but there's enough structure to the boot that my foot doesn't feel uncomfortable. I also got (and returned) the large spring straps just in case these were too long.Installation took a little effort, but i used a technique I read somewhere. I used a center punch to drive the existing pin out a little so I could use a pair of handheld nail pullers to grab the head on the other side. It went through the rubber of the fin with a pop and came out whole. I guess technically it could be driven back in if i wanted to return to the old straps. No cutting required. it took about 10 minutes to put them on using this approach. Note that they go on one way - if you put them on wrong, the knuckle on the spring strap won't fall in correctly to the rubber notch on the fin and they may appear to be way too short.

I'm a men's size US 11.5 - 12 and the Large 10" is too tight, and X-Large 12" is too loose. It would be great if they had an 11" size option.
