Black oxided coating protects against rust and corrosion which extends plug gage life. Black coating can also serve as an indicator for wear and tear to timely renew the plug gage calibration. Certificate of accuracy traceable to N.I.S.T. and registered ISO 9001. Not an ISO 17025 long form certificate. Size laser marked on each pin gage. Gage increments are in .001" steps. Heat treated to a hardness of 60/62 HRc. Uniform 2" overall length and have no sharp corners. Included go & no-go pin gage handle has an internal spring-loaded plastic soft jaw to grab onto the pin gage while not leaving scratch mark. Plug gage tray are marked with easy-to-read corresponding sizes.
