We have a whole house water softener that makes the water taste salty, so I purchased this in order to quit buying so much water and wasting so much plastic. The water tastes great now!

Only downsides are that we didn't see one that came in black and the water isn't cold. It's also annoying refilling the tank. However it saving me 600 to 1,000 a year and the water is better quality so we are happy with this purchase

I absolutely love it!  Very easy to set up and use, and the water flowing through the system is the best!  My water went from 300+ TDS down to less than 40 TDS - and that was just due to the Y9A alkaline filter - which allows beneficial minerals and nutrients.  This system is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

WHAT’S INCLUDED:SlimPure Y9A (Main unit and Tank)2 Filters, Membrane pre-installedCup place holder/drip catcherPRODUCT/THOUGHTS:I got this unit to use in conjunction with my already traditional reverse osmosis system. This one is countertop, so instead of relying on a pressure-based system, it uses a motor instead, which plugs in.The tank is an okay size, but this is a bit of a slimmer unit. If you run your water up to the middle line, you will run out pretty quickly. The “Brine” separator goes about halfway up the tank, so while you can fill the tank all the way to the max, you will have brine water that you need the system to refilter once it spills over into the main. For the pre-setup, you need to follow the instructions and run the full system flushing at least 3-5 times after you plug it in and it does its internal flushing. (During internal flushing, there is no water dispensing). During the regular flushing process, you will notice very cloudy brine water, keep doing the process unle it comes out pretty clear and you’ll be ready to go. I think for me, it took about 5-7 flushes. The water quality itself, though, is great. I like that it’s a 6-stage setup, and it has a UV Filtration process as well. It’s very easy to use.I do wish the spout came out a little bit further than it does, or if it had an adjustment to it, that would have been really great to extend it just a bit more, as necessar,y depending on the container you are filling.

So far I'm really enjoying this little tabletop RO water dispenser. I LOVE that the drip tray is lightly magnetic - keeps its from getting knocked about, onto the floor or lost by my kids. The water tastes DELICIOUS and I'm happy that this system adds needed minerals back into the water. It's quiet and deceptively fast - don't walk away from your glass! My complaints are small -- the biggest is that I don't like that you can't just fill it up with water, but instead have to empty the reservoir every time and refill. It would be so much more convenient to periodically take a pitcher over and fill up when it's midway or low.-it leaks a little water when you lift up the reservoir, which accumulates, so you have to clean it up every time or risk slinging water every where. It's just a little messy and I have this on a wooden sidebar in the dining room, so I have to be careful.-there is a decent amount of water left in the reservoir. As mentioned above, the instructions say you have to empty it or it will cause problems with your filters. So does this mean that the water below the minimum mark has already been filtered (1-2 liters)? If so, that feels wasteful. I could pour that into a pitcher etc for use, but the manual was not clear. It was not until I watched someone else's review on here where they used red food coloring dye to show the filtering that my question was answered. The water in the reservoir must NOT be filtered yet, so dumping it is not wasting RO filtered water, but I don't like to waste at all, so I'll use it on my plants. I wish it used almost all of the water in the reservoir instead of leaving so much behind.-aaaand I wish it said the number of ounces you dispensed in one go. especially since some of my water bottles are giant and dark, so I have to tilt them at an angle to fill and I can't see til we're FULL. And preset ounce dispensers (8, 12, 16, 24 for example) would really be awesome. As it is, there's no auto off (unless you've emptied the entire tank), so we've already had one kid overflow the cup.

We have been interested in a reverse osmosis system for some time but couldn't figure out how to fit it under the sink. Then I started researching countertop systems. After reading many reviews, I decided that the SimPure water filter sounded the best. People said the system was easier to use partly because the tank is on the side instead of on the back of the system. We received the SimPure water filter two weeks ago. It is easy to use and it is doing a great job of making our water pure and great tasting. Every step in the manual was easy to understand and execute. Our tap water has a TDS level of about 250. The SimPure filter brings that down to a level of about 20 and that's after adding in minerals to improve the taste. The tank has a water capacity of about one gallon which means we usually only need to change the water once a day. We are very happy with the Y9A and happy we don't need to buy any more bottled water.

I am very happy with this machine so far. I bought it because I wasn't happy with the taste of my water from my frig through my name brand filter. This produces water with a clean taste. It has also made my coffee taste better. It takes less than 5 minutes to make a gallon. It was easy to set up and use. I highly recommend it.
