I ordered these to wear at work. I like them but replaced them because they wouldn't quit turning. There's no velcro or heel strap to keep them in place. I had to keep taking them off and on. Not worth it for me.

We live in the country and have quite a bit of wooded areas around. Great to have these to put on and keep burrs, etc off my pants. Plus I don't worry as much about thorn bushes, etc cutting into me. Easy to use, good quality.

I live in the Arizona desert where venomous rattlesnakes are present. I’ve come across several over the years and am always worried about doing yard work, or walking in the desert, for fear of encountering a rattlesnake and being bit. So, I got these to wear when I’m in a “risky” place where I may encounter a snake.The materials of these, while not thick, seems to be pretty tough. I’m honestly not sure if a rattlesnake fang would be able to penetrate these or not, but I prefer to have these than nothing at all. I wear boots and these garters whenever I’m doing yard work or hiking in the mountains or desert now. It does give me some peace of mind knowing that there is an entire layer of material that the snake must penetrate before reaching my shins or ankles.These fit well and cover a large portion of my shin and legs. There are straps that I can pull to tighten or loosen as needed. I also like the carrying case these came with.

These gaiters are made of a stiff nylon material that provides excellent protection. Supposedly they are waterproof and although I haven't tested this statement, I believe it is true. Since they have just snap buckles they are easy to connect and once adjusted provide a secure connection. However, the initial adjustment will take some time to adjust the fitting, after that it is just a matter of snapping the connections together. In use they are non-restrictive and provide a good shield against thorns, cactus and snakes. A higher boot may be necessary so that there isn't an exposed area near the Achilles tendon for more complete coverage. Although they are marketed as snake gaiters, they are of great use in other scenarios. For example, they can be used when operating a weed cutter to protect from flying rocks and debris or just for keeping pants dry when going through wet grass/bushes. Overall, these are well constructed gaiters that provide very good protection. They are lightweight, easy to put on/off and they come with a nice camo carrying bag. I recommend this product.

I ordered the G2 Go2gether Snake Gaiters. We live in rattlesnake country, so having a pair of gaiters for added protection when doing yard work makes sense.I used these while weed eating, and found that they provide good protection against the occasional flying pebble. They also come with a storage bag.The reason why I gave this item 4 out of 5 stars, is that they can be a hassle to put on. I wish there were some velcro that could hold the gaiters in place while you cinch the straps. I found that I'd have to hold my gaiter with one hand, while the other was trying to pull the strap to tighten it. It took me about 10 minutes to get these on and with a decent tension that they would not slide off while wearing. But that's it, they're a challenge to get on. The fabric is slippery, so you really do need to cinch these down pretty well. Other than that, these work well for protecting the lower legs.

I was expecting these gaiters to fail ... Man, was I wrong! They're terrific.They're made very well of dense, high quality materials, and are designed to be supple enough move in the right places.In other words, they hug your leg well for vital coverage once you adjust the straps ... AND they don't restrict foot or knee movement.I would/do still pair them with my usual ankle boots, however as the Achilles tendon doesn't get 100% protection with any rear strap-together gaiter.They fold up nicely in their own bag. Very convenient.

These gaiters are different than other I have in that these pack up smaller. They are basically strips of reinforced material "armor" with stitching in between to keep them in place. This allows them to roll or fold up fairly small and fit a little more snug around your calves. The tradeoff then is that there is less armor at where the stitching is. Although the outer material is tough, it's the interior strips that make it snake resistant. I tried testing this with a thumb tack and it was mush easier to press it through the areas where the stitching compared to the area between the stitching. My other gaiters are essentially one large piece of armor which doesn't roll very tight but provides the same snake resistance all around. Despite the possible weakness along the stitching, it still would be difficult for a snake incisor to push through even with the small chance that it strikes in that exact spot. So overall, I think these gaiters are a little more comfortable and easier to pack than others as well as providing nearly the same protection.
