I ordered this solar disconnect switch for my small home solar setup, and it works just right. It was easy to hook up between my solar panels and the inverter. The switch stops power flow when needed and keeps everything from getting damaged by too much power.The box is really strong and keeps out water and dust. This is perfect since mine sits outside in all kinds of weather. The cables are a good length, and I didn't need any special tools to get it working. This switch makes my solar system safer, and I can tell it's built to last.

I have setup multiple solar strings In my backyard ground mount array. I have them running back to the house on a set of 10AWG PV wires. These are rated for 30Amps. I wanted to have the convenience of being able to cut the power from the array so that I can conduct any needed maintenance on my indoor components. I like this disconnect box because it serves 2 purposes. 1. It can easily cut the flow power from the array and it gives an easy to see visual indication of the power status. 2. It has current limiting breakers that can help to protect my system of over voltage/current spikes in the event of a fault or short. The box itself is weather resistant and I’ve been able to mount it under my array without worrying about it. The wire glands accept a wide range of cables and keeps water from intruding into the box. The clear door allows you to easily see what state the breakers are in.

This waterproof solar disconnect and circuit breaker is well made. The enclosure is a bit larger than some others, but I prefer that for this type of enclosure. It looks like it will perform well form standard water and dust intrusion thanks to a cover design that has only the smallest of openings near the latch area and a recessed lip around the entire lid opening. The lid only opens slightly, just enough to get your pointy digits in there and flip the switch. I can see myself not paying attention some day and possibly snapping off one of the tabs, but on a damp rainy day I kind of like that design.I like they included extra MC4 connector ends as well as an MC4 tool. You will need a proper crimp tool to attach those, but it is nice they are included.Well made at a fair price.

This CNLonQcom Solar Panel Disconnect Switch is a pretty nice little package. It's living in my shed with a 30amp charge controller, 2 100w panels, a 1500w pure sine inverter and a pair of 100ah batteries. I really just needed a shut of switch from the panels, but for the price? This was a lot easier than building something with a project box. With the wire glands and O-ring seal around the access door, I'm confident in the IP65 rating stated. The clear access door is great too. So you can see the breaker status. The mc-4 connectors also snapped right in to the ones I already made. Really as easy an install as can be expected. I'm very happy with it so far.

Off-brand breakers are a bit of a challenging topic for me. While I absolutely appreciate the attractive price, it can be hard to discern exactly what's marketing vs. what's measurable reality, especially in terms of safety.For my purposes (using this primarily as a shutoff switch in a small, project solar PV setup) I've deemed the risks to be minimal enough that I'm fully comfortable using this. If this were being permanently installed in an RV, camper or my home.... I might opt for a brand name whose certification and listing is not a matter of debate.In terms of build quality, I'm very pleased with this. It appears robust, properly sealed, and functions as it should as best I've been able to tell. Buying a (nearly) complete pre-made unit like this is much easier than buying all the parts individually and piecing it together.

This review is for the CNLonQcom brand 32 amp solar disconnect switch.I’ve reviewed four different brand solar disconnect switches today. This is easily the nicest one! The manufacturer is clearly trying to put their best foot forward with their choice of components, documentation, safety and quality certificates and clearly labeled specifications.This would be a five star review if it were not for one fatal flaw. The product listing said 6.1 mm^2 wire was used. That immediately drew my attention because 6.1 mm^2 wire is not a thing. 6.0 mm^2 is common (which is about 10 AWG). As you can see in the photo, the wire is 4.0 mm squared (12 gauge). Also, the breaker and product are not UL Listed (no safety cert).As for everything else, the case is sturdy. All the connections are tight. Very good MC4 connectors are used. There are ferrules are on the wires going into the circuit breaker. Those connections were torqued down very tight!I will swap out the PV wire for true 10 gauge PV wire to make this product the awesome solar disconnect switch it was born to be.
