UPDATE: Amazon helped me get in touch with the seller and with the 12 month warranty they sent me a new one. They were extremely helpful and got one out to me as soon as they were back in stock. So all is great!!Looked fantastic, until the light completely died 2 months later. Checked all wiring, it was good. Checked fuse, it was good, changed it just to be sure. But the light itself was as dead as a doornail. Such a shame such cheap crap is allowed to be sold.

This tire brake light is super neat. I have it installed on my Jeep Wrangler and I just can't get over how cool it is. It is wired up so it is on when my running light are on. You can have any color you want on it and when you brake it turns red like your brake lights. I couldn't find a nice spare tire cover that I liked and I have been looking for one for a long time finally I came across this and am happy I ordered it. It is much nicer than a cover. I would recommend

This is not an upgrade from the factory CHMSL. This can be added to that, but I would suggest using the factory one, or similar, along with this. The wiring is bare, no connectors to the factory harness. There are no instructions for the install either, no way to hold this onto the spare tire mount. When installing this, there is an indication as to which way is up, so keep that in mind for moisture drainage. It is bright, and a nice addition to the factory unit. During a rain storm, I did notice water spots on the item. With it mounted behind the spare tire, it is difficult to clean. I will up date this as time goes and see how long this lasts.

At the price listed, I figured this was plug & play with light wiring connector, Y cable, or something similar… but it just has bare wires on the end and you need to splice into the factory wiring. This might necessarily be the case for older Jeeps as I see this in other listings for products specifically for pre-2018 but on the listing they don’t specifically say it is intended for splicing. It also doesn’t include push nuts to secure it. Sure, the spare tire will hold it down, but it would be nice to have it somewhat secured when you take the spare off.I did test it on a 12v bench tester and all the LEDs work and it is decently bright.Overall, I just feel there are better options in this price range.

This works perfect! I built my son a Jeep bed and I'm using this to light up the rear tire on the back. It looks really cool, super easy to set up and wire. A lot of cool lighting options. If you have it set up through a vehicle it works with the brake light which is cool. Nice and bright.

I bought this to use in an alternative environment than it's intended use, but it seems to work well and I'm hoping it will work out for what I have intended.
