Your cart is empty.Flashers are an excellent addition to your gear when targeting pelagic species, but don’t overlook their effectiveness on reef fish—even calicos (kelp bass) have been known to go wild for them. We’ve seen everything from dogtooth tuna and yellowtail to wahoo, Spanish mackerel, and various tuna species drawn in by our throw flashers. Keep a flasher tucked into your belt for quick access. They sink slowly—about two minutes to reach 50 feet—making them ideal for controlled deployment. Want a faster drop? Trim about an inch off the rubber plug to speed up the sink rate. When a fish appears just outside your gun’s effective range, toss the flasher toward it. The splash and flash often trigger an instant reaction—species like wahoo will frequently veer in for a closer look.
